Awesome device. Sits on dash no need to fumble with phone. Great when traveling away from home. No need to pay extra for the rental car to have a gps

This is my 2nd Garmin which is a replacement for my previous NUVI model which I gave to my daughter for food delivery service. This model is easy and simple to use. The best feature I like it showing the drive time to destination. Unit works GREAT everywhere I go.

Easy to use. Good price. Works even better than the last NUVI 52 than I owned.
If you also get a dashcam (Recommended) you'll need a two or three ciggerette lighter socket adapter. The GPS must use the included power adapter for maximum brightness and to charge it's battery. The GPS is a good no frills unit. Ok so far, got me from NY to TX. Displays your speed and the posted limit on the map. I used a 3rd party mount so it was more convenient to use. Not sure what I can do to keep it out of the sun when I park. A foam cup? It will shutdown if too hot. Overall, recommended.

I had this product before and needed a new one with updated maps. Easy to operate and down load the maps.

GPS unit was dead out of the box. Took over a day to fully charge. Once charged was able to set up and use. Worked as expected. Was a replacement for a dying GPS from another manufacturer that I owned for years. Used twice and noted if not used for more than a week when turned back on the battery status showed yellow or red.... seemed odd. So upon calling Garmin tech support that is the expected operation of the battery.... it is only a short life battery so that’s my answer why dead out of the box. It is not designed to be used without power for a short 1 or 2 hour drive, must be plugged in all the time. My previous old unit could be used for short drives and would hold most of its battery power for over 6 months.

Easy to set up and use. The screen is plenty big. It does come with a chord and suction mount kit, which is not in the pics or specifications. The unit has a small slot for a memory card and I would suggest purchasing one. My first update nearly filled up the onboard memory.

Easy to work and works great. I drive for my job and I use this daily. Definitely worth the price. Garmin has yet to fail with me.

Compact size; easy to use, easy to read; clear display . . . works like a charm . . . very pleased with this GPS. Mount included.
We absolutely love our new Garmen! We used it on our trip to Yellowstone National Park this past June. Not familiar with the area, our Garmin assisted us in finding the best routes, motels, and restaurants. This product is user friendly.

I like the GPS has backup camera, upgrade map, realitics road, and more. Those are important to me and I don't about u. However it deserves average rating because of the power will shut off right away without warning. Not able adapt into my like road. It keeps fall off

This is excellent and sometimes more accurate than my phone. The one issue being the 5 minute unplugged battery life. You used to be able to use these as a hand held gps on vacations when you didn’t know where to walk or you could use them with your bike. Has to be plugged in 100% of the time. Which is an issue in my car I only have one outlet so I need to now get a splitter so I can use that along with a charger. Other than that 10/10 great east to use compact doesnt get in your way. 100% recommend

This is the Garmin Drivesmart 52. It has been out for a few years, but adequate. First the upsides: A bright screen, maps are updated (it does not have everything but what gps does), and it is compact which is ideal for car use. The cord for the car adaptor is more than sufficient at 5 feet. It has almost all the gunctionality that the larger units have except traffic, which is possible with a traffic cord (Garmin GTM 36). Cons: No bluetooth, or wifi capability but that was expected. A PC is required to update maps but these are promised to be for the life of the device. The real downside is the TFT resistive touch screen which is not very responsive. This is especially true when typing in addresses or searching with the keyboard. The screen input is acceptable, but not ideal. If this is a dealbreaker, look for the Drivesmart 65 and up, which includes what this unit does not. Overall this is an above average unit for the price and in my opinion more accurate routes than the competitors, including Google maps.

Had to buy a new one, because my old Garmin gave up after 10+ years. Easy to install, lifetime free maps, easy to navigate (no pun intended) menu, Gets Information from History Channel, Four Square, and Trip-advisor. Easy to find businesses on. Only two gripes I got with this, it rather is under the deep belief that Interstates are always faster (ignoring traffic, cable must be purchased separately-did not test with that feature) over alternate routes that are shorter and have only a few traffic lights. Second gripe is the minimalist icons. I get it, it looks sleek, but all the icons are green and square. But since this is a Garmin, I'm sure there's a way to mod that.

Just retired to NC so don't know my way around yet. What a help my Garmin has been! I'm not "techy" but this little gadget is super easy to figure out even without the manual. I have a good signal on remote roads. It gives me ample warning to change lanes; it fits easily into my console; came complete with everything needed to use it immediately, and it's reasonably priced. I love it!

This is a reasonably priced GPS (under $100) with basic features. Does the job for traveling around locally and on vacation and has an easy map load for updates using your computer. The one we have only has map of US and Canada. There are other options depending on which GPS you buy.

This is the best car GPS I ever had. It is easy to use with very detailed 3D maps of the U.S. and Canada already installed right out of the box. It also conveniently comes with a Vehicle Suction Cup Mount, a Vehicle Power Cable, an USB Cable, and a Quick Start Manual. Both the 5"" screen and the audio sound are intuitive and crystal clear. It also has Road trip-ready with The HISTORY Channel database of notable historic sites, a U.S. national parks directory, TripAdvisor traveler ratings and millions of Foursquare points of interest. Red light cameras and real-time traffic alerts are big pluses to save time, money, and to avoid headaches and accidents.

I wanted a basic GPS unit for navigation, did not want to pay for extra features. I have a smart phone with apps for extra features. I had a previous Garmin that I used for over 12 years, I finally retired it and replaced with this unit. Very easy to use, easy to read. I attached it to the Garmin base that I already owned. The suction cup will not last in the South Florida heat. I have been using it on and off for several months. Did not want to tie up my smart phone on longer trips. Make sure you update your maps when you take it out of the box. Map updates are important to a successful experience.
