I’ve been installing this Garmin ECHOMAP UHD2 54cv on my 2006 Bayliner, and I’m very impressed with the quality. The display is bright, easy to read in direct sunlight, and the menus are simple to navigate, even for someone new to marine electronics. The sonar and mapping features are excellent, and the transducer provides clear bottom detail. I also like that Garmin provides detailed installation instructions and offers plenty of accessories if you want to customize your setup. The wiring takes some time if you’re doing a clean installation, but that’s true with any marine electronics. Once installed, the unit feels solid and performs exactly as expected. For anyone with a boat looking for reliable GPS navigation and fish-finding capabilities without spending a fortune, this is an outstanding choice. I would definitely recommend it.
