Great watch with incredible features. I chose the 47mm and think that was the best size for my needs. I purchased at a great price from Best Buy.

Beat decision to go with bestbuy! They price matched (twice!) and delivered a brand new, amazing Garmin that i had been meaning to own for sometime! I’d definitely recommend folks to but from bestbuy, they’re super efficient and prompt! The watch itself- I had been contemplating between Epix Pro Gen 2 and Fenix 8, but because BestBuy offers price match, it was a no brainer to go with this. Yes, they’ll probably prioritize Forerunners and Latest Fenixs for software UI updates, but then, this watch has Best build quality and a proven stamped UI, and they’re not left behind for patches/updates, other than UI! Battery lasts at least a week, with regular run/cycle/yoga/walk and wake to display. Awesomely protective GPS and sleep tracking! Best watch purchase ever! I own a apple Series 9 but this is what I’m wearing day in day out!

This watch has Amoled display, ECG and high detail golf maps. You can scroll through screens with your finger or up/down buttons to see distances to front and back of hazards, greens etc. More golf features than my old S60 golf watch. Easy to glance at accurate outside temp, steps, etc. I have all the GPS and other battery eating features turned on and get 6 days per charge. ECG was easy, no straps, the watch does it all, then it can be downloaded if you need to share it. 47mm, my wrist is probably smaller than avg. No problem viewing in bright light. The screen is a little brighter than it appears in the photos.

Was torn between the epix pro 2 and fenix 7 solar sapphire. Coming from an Apple Watch I decided the Epix would be a good transition. I absolutely love it. If I was going to do longer events like an ultramarathon or multi day hiking I’d have chosen the fenix 7 for the longer battery. For my every day uses I have my setting so I’m still getting to enjoy a much longer battery life than my apple, better tracking and information so I am happy. The other big decision was size and I went with the 47mm but I have female friends with the 42 and the 51 and honestly it wasn’t that big of a difference when we lined our arms up. This is a good size for me Again to get more battery but also be comfortable wearing it all the time including sleep. It’s more comfortable than the apple was too so winning all around. I don’t miss not having the cellular which reminds me I can cancel that plan :) I was concerned about mapping but none of these would really be your sole source for mapping if you were doing something serious. It can be a quick check where you are on the trail but if I needed actual navigation I’d probably use paper map/compass, downloaded maps on avenza, or a handheld device.

I upgraded from a garmin 935 and found the new features and accuracy to be a huge improvement. I also own a Samsung galaxy 5 pro. I wanted something very durable (sapphire and titanium), new metrics, reliable metrics, better battery, amoled display, etc. A big selling feature for me on this watch was also the new heart rate sensor. On all prior watches ive owned the optical sensor has been unreliable having random heart rate spikes during mild to no activity. I had to result to a heart rate monitor strap on even easy runs to avoid wrong zones being recorded (zone 1 vs random z4 or 5 errors). After almost a month of daily use from running to cycling to gym work- i can say this sensor is very accurate with only a couple of brief misreadings or spikes during gym work. It is able to handle more variation in watch movement due to the new design. I also enjoy the convenient flashlight. The improved readings also provide a better picture of your sleep and training progress. I also appreciate the new hill metrics and heat acclimation factor. Overall, while expensive i am very happy with this purchase and look forward testing it during the fall race season.

I got this as a “drop” and it is fantastic! I have loved garmin watches for some time and just needed an upgrade. This watch did not disappoint! 10 out of 10 would recommend tbis watch!

Did a lot of research before choosing this watch and it’s a fantastic device. Does everything. Hard to believe there could be a better sports/fitness/outdoors watch. Love how personalizable it is as well. The 47mm size is perfect- the 51 is just enormous.

I loeve this watch. I purchased tbis watch after getting years worth of usage out of my Garmin Instinct. These Garmin watches are an essential for me now. I lost 100 pounds with the help of my Garmin Instinct and now I continue my daily routine of constant exercise/training religiously. This watch is durable, high-tech, comfy, etc. The biggest difference I noticed besides the tech in comparison to my Instinct was the watch band.both bands look almost identical, yet the Epix is i kid you not like 4x as comfortable. Its an amazing watch for anyone who is an athlete, active duty, etc.

I am very happy with the watch. I took it with me in vacation on different environments and did a great job. The altimeter help me out a lot along with the barometer in tough situations so i give the watch a really good rating so far. I am still learning how to use because is my first Garmin product.

This is a great product overall. My biggest challenge is learning the garmin system vs the apple environment. I'm getting 10 days of usage on my watch. The functions and metrics blow my A watch away. Definitely recommend this device for outdoor/workout enthusiasts.

I’ve worn this watch for over a month now before writing this review. It takes about three weeks or so for the watch to take enough sample readings to fully flesh out your overall health picture. Although I have an iphone, I chose to go with a Garmin watch over an Apple watch mainly due to the outstanding battery life and the features of this watch. It’s been interesting seeing how the watch rates my sleep habits, I mainly score somewhere between fair, poor, and non-restorative. Need to work on that I guess! I like to ride my bicycles and with the addition of the speed and cadence sensors the watch now becomes a cyclocomputer on my wrist. If I have a limited time to ride I can just input the distance I have time for and it will suggest a few possible routes from my location to make that distance. Select the route and it gives me turn by turn navigation. Couldn’t be easier! The built in flashlight is very convenient and the timers and stopwatch is easy to operate. I like that I can customize the watch face, color pallet, watch hands, etc and also choose what features I want to appear on the watch face. The touch screen is very responsive, I did add an inexpensive screen protector and a case bumper to help protect the watch while I’m at work. I have had no issues with connectivity with the Garmin app and the integration with my old iphone 11 has been stellar, all my notifications come through to the beautiful AMOLED screen immediately. Really looking forward to traveling more with this watch and making use of the gps and navigation features to go hiking. Garmin’s features definitely lend itself to adventures more so than Apple watches do. I don’t regret this purchase at all, it’s a wonderful watch!

The Garmin Epix Pro 47mm has been a great watch. I switched over from an Apple Watch because of the battery life and I really wanted to dial in on my health and sleep tracking. I run and train every single day and this watch keeps up. I really like the additional metrics like sleep tracking, VO2 max and all the recommendations the watch gives. It is also more aesthetically pleasing than an Apple Watch if you ask me. I do have a smaller wrist so the different size options is great. I went with the 47mm because I think it looks a little better than the 42. Can’t say enough good things about this watch I’m glad I made the switch. Not to mention it’s extremely durable.

Best smartwatch/gps/activity tracker -watch I ever owned. The battery life is exceptional, the amoled screen is beautiful and clear. GPS connects fast and does an amazing job tracking my runs and walks. The is rugged and classy at the same time. Menu is easy to navigate and the app provides sufficient data to help me with my daily and nightly goals.

For being the 2024 flagship smartwatch model for a short while, it is still a great buy today. This particular watch did get the current health hardware that is in other current watches like Fenix 8, so you do get the EKG function among other things. Being able to customize the watch face with the stock watch faces or other watch faces and get other watch apps thru the Garmin Connect IQ app is great. The 'Connect' app compliments getting the data for your day and being able to see / digest what you have done for the day with health stats. The multiple recording modes for specific activities is quite extensive. And being able to get about 10-11 days of battery life before re-charging is a game winner! It is large for 47mm, but is attractive also. Good either for workouts or a night out.
