I’ve been using the fēnix 8 AMOLED Sapphire for a while now, and it exceeded every expectation. The AMOLED display is bright and easy to read outdoors, the GPS accuracy is outstanding, and the battery life is excellent even with multiple sensors running. The sapphire glass gives me peace of mind since I use it for hiking and daily activities without worrying about scratches. It feels premium, comfortable to wear, and the health tracking features are very reliable. Definitely one of the best smartwatches I’ve owned.

I’ve been using this watch for workouts, running, daily activity tracking, and everyday wear, and honestly it has exceeded my expectations. The battery life is amazing, the screen looks great outdoors, and the performance is very smooth and responsive. I especially like the fitness and recovery tracking features, GPS accuracy, and how comfortable it feels even during long workouts or all-day use. The orange band gives it a sporty and premium look as well. It’s a great option if you want something durable, reliable, and versatile for both fitness and daily life. Definitely one of my favorite tech purchases so far.

I am really enjoying my new Garmin Fenix watch. The tracking is very accurate, especially for running and workouts, and the battery life is impressive. I purchased this watch as a gift for my husband. He had been eyeing the new Apple Watch. I looked into it but could not justify the price for the little upgrade, especially when his main concern is battery life. I had been trying to get him to consider other smart watches and his brother just happened to get a new Garmin. He was enticed by the features and decided it’s what he wanted. At nearly $1k for a watch it was a hard pill to swallow but I knew it would last him for many years. We compared models and I did convince him to get the AMOLED vs solar as he is not too outdoorsy. So glad I did because the display is great! As soon as he started to play around with his new watch he set up several features. The health monitoring features are really keeping him accountable. The morning and evening reports also help him see where his overall health stands. He can now clearly see the impacts of his daily dietary, sleep and fitness choices. As a result, he has made several lifestyle modifications over the past few weeks and gradually improving himself. That alone was worth the investment in my book! Of course this watch offers several wonderful features, long battery life and all that jazz you can look up but from a personal standpoint, the improvement to my husband’s overall health is why I felt compelled to recommend this watch.

Garmin Fēnix 8 AMOLED Sapphire 47mm — Exceptional All-Around Watch After researching Garmin’s lineup extensively, I chose the Fēnix 8 AMOLED Sapphire 47mm, and it has exceeded my expectations. I wanted something that could handle demanding outdoor work and training while providing useful health data without feeling like a fragile piece of electronics. The metabolic and recovery tracking has been one of the biggest surprises. Heart rate, calorie expenditure, Body Battery, stress, sleep, HRV, recovery and training metrics work together to create a remarkably coherent picture of how my body is responding throughout the day. No wrist-based device can directly measure metabolism or perfectly determine calorie expenditure, so I don’t treat every number as laboratory data. What impresses me is the consistency and usefulness of the trends. After Garmin establishes a baseline, changes in sleep, workload and exercise show up in the data in ways that correspond surprisingly well with how I actually feel. Durability has been outstanding. Mine has the sapphire lens and titanium bezel, and I wear it in environments that are considerably harder on a watch than an office or gym. It gets exposed to dirt, dust, tight spaces, impacts and strenuous outdoor training. So far, it has handled that abuse without making me feel like I need to baby an expensive smartwatch. The physical buttons are especially valuable when gloves, sweat or dirt make a touchscreen inconvenient. There is a learning curve. Garmin gives you an enormous amount of information and the menu system can initially feel overwhelming. Once configured, however, everyday operation becomes very easy. The combination of buttons and touchscreen is excellent, the AMOLED display is beautiful outdoors and indoors, GPS acquisition is fast, and battery life makes charging something I rarely have to think about. Customization is exceptional. Activities, data screens, shortcuts, widgets, complications and watch faces can all be configured extensively. I can use a highly functional layout for work and training, then switch to a vintage analog face and leather band and make the same watch surprisingly appropriate for a formal event. Connect IQ expands the possibilities even further, although the sheer number of choices can itself be overwhelming. The Fēnix 8 is expensive, but it feels designed to remain useful for years rather than to be replaced annually. For someone who trains outdoors, values detailed health and recovery trends, needs genuine durability and wants one watch capable of doing almost everything, this is an exceptional device. ★★★★★ — 5/5

I recently purchased the Garmin Fenix 8 from Best Buy, and it has exceeded all my expectations. The build quality is top-notch, the screen is bright and easy to read in any lighting, and the battery life is incredible. The fitness tracking features are extremely accurate, and the GPS locks on fast, making it perfect for runs, hikes, and everyday use. Best Buy made the buying experience smooth and hassle-free, and I walked out feeling confident with my purchase. If you’re looking for a premium smartwatch with serious performance, the Fenix 8 is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

Dad of almost 3, limited time but wanted to get healthy and get more metrics than my Apple Watch Ultra series 3. 1) battery life: thing is insane, had it for a month, charged it twice. Heavy use, including GPS, sleep tracking and all the features 2) data: it gives you more data than you ever thought. I do a lot of mountain biking, running and weight training. The battery feature is great, how much progressive load to obtain optimal goals. 3) do it, yes, it's kind of a bit to get used to being out of the Apple ecosystem and not responding to texts, but the amount of data, the adult rugged feel with everyday wear and the fact that you don't have to charge it every freaking day is a game changer.

I purchased this for my wife's birthday. She's an avid runner / fitness lover. She's had an apple watch for a long time. This easily replaces it. The health metrics are way more thorough and plentiful. She is constantly telling me her sleep score, etc. The apple watch battery would die halfway through her runs. She barely needs to charge her Garmin. She refuses to go anywhere without it. It also looks great on her. She gets plenty of compliments. Not only the health metrics, but it provides communication updates and then some. I mean... the only negative I can think of is the price. It was quite the sticker shock. But considering how much things cost these days, the value of improving and maintaining your health through accurate information is priceless.

I absolutely love this smartwatch! It’s stylish, easy to use, and packed with helpful features. The battery life lasts surprisingly long, and the display is bright and clear even in daylight. I mainly use it for fitness tracking, and the heart rate monitor and step counter are very accurate. Notifications sync perfectly with my phone, and I can even reply to texts on the go. It’s lightweight and comfortable to wear all day. Definitely worth the price!

Love the look, upgraded from Fenix 5S and this one has several updated features. Very comfortable and battery life has been great so far. First time with Amoled screen, love the look of it, hopefully it will last as long has my previous Garmin Fenix.

This is my go to for my runs and walks. Battery life is a major plus! I run and walk 4 miles a day, 6 days a week. GPS is accurate. I also use Oura ring and the 2 is always different when it comes sleep, body battery, readiness and activity scores. But, Heart rate and HRV are almost identical. Durability and waterproof is outstanding!

I upgraded from Vivo 5. This watch is amazing!I run, trail run and hike, cycle and strength train. I love all the screen options for each workout. My favorite metrics are altitude, compass and hill training. I believe it has better feedback than the Vivo. This watch although big (43mm) on my small wrist, it is very comfortable. There battery life with regular use is fantastic!

I have been very pleased with the Fenix 8. I upgraded from the Garmin Epix Pro and have also had the Fenix 6 and Fenix 7. This one is my favorite. The display is great and the screen size is bigger than the Epix. It feels less chunky. I like the new operating system as well. The battery life is comparable to the Epix and I typically charge the watch once every 7 - 10 days (averaging 1 to 1.5 hours of GPS time on most days of the week).

I upgraded to this and have been using it for a few months now. I absolutely love it. The battery life is great and it’s fairly easy to use. The watch is tough to and has made it through work and working out. I’m excited to take it to the backwoods this year on a hike and check it out.

I bought this for a daily wear watch that would track my swim laps, but I like it for so much more. The watch and Garmin app have helped me track my swims, bike rides, and workouts, as well as track my calorie burn and consumption, and has helped in my weight loss and overall health. I also love the sleep, heart rate, and blood ox monitoring. The resolution and brightness are awesome and I honestly use the built-in flashlight every day! Awesome watch.

Fantastic watch! It managed to replace my Apple Watch Ultra 2. It’s such a professional watch geared toward serious athletes and I love it. The 47 mm is the perfect size in my opinion and the battery life is great, lasting 7 days.

So far I’m enjoying getting to know this Garmin. It’s my first one and always had an Apple Watch. It’s only been a little over a week so I’m still learning and getting adjusted. But I’m learning that everything that the Apple Watch did so does this Garmin. I was hesitant about the Garmin not being compatible with my iPhone but so far it’s been very good.

So, I upgraded from a fenix 7(not the Pro). When I saw the fenix 8, there were a lot of features that intrigued me so I researched a lot about it and watched YouTube reviews. Although I originally purchased the amoled version, I traded it back for the solar. I personally like the display of the MIP screen and love the battery life even more. Definitely have enjoyed the new layout and new features such as the torch which wasn’t on my fenix 7. Definitely happy with my purchase.

After doing a ton of research I zoomed in on the Garmin Feniz 8 AMOLED Sapphire 47mm. For golfers like me this baby has all the bells and whistles of the Garmin Approach S70. But wait,,,the Fenix 8 also has all the sports, fitness and health features of the Garmin line and can receive AND make phone calls as well as text messages. If you're a golfer and want to use your GPS watch as an all purpose smart watch this is the ticket.
