Customer Ratings & Reviews

I returned my Enduro 3. I used for more than a month, and I haven't one single heat rate reading close to acceptable. I ran a half marathon in 1hour and 25 min and my average heart rate was 110 bpm according my enduro 3. I know the watches are not the best for this, but this one was the worst I ever tried. All the other features are amazing!

After trading in my **Apple Watch Ultra 2, I decided to go with the **Garmin Fenix 8 Solar**, and I have to say—it’s been a game-changer. While the Ultra 2 is a fantastic smartwatch with deep Apple ecosystem integration, the Fenix 8 Solar takes things to another level for outdoor enthusiasts, athletes, and those who prioritize battery life and rugged durability.

Great watch. Comfortable and easy to use. Good tracking for stats and training.

If you’re a health or fitness junkie like me this is a must have! Theres so much to do and record with this watch it’s amazing,

Exelent this watch is one of the best , the battery last long and all the features work perfect .

I would buy it again! It has everything I could possibly need, it's on another level.

I want to state that I like, almost everything, about this watch. Aesthetics, functionality, and everything in between. I won’t go into the details because if you’re looking into this watch I’m sure you already know what it has to offer when it comes to features and such. I can confirm I’ve had no issues with lagging or weird bugs associated with this watch after its launch, but mine is up to date with the latest software update. Now, my big problem comes with the battery life of this watch. Is it way better than the Apple Watch Ultras battery life? Yes is it better than the Fenix 8 Amoled?……. BARELY (maybe not I might be switching)! That’s terrible isn’t it? I’ve tried all the settings other users have recommended on both the garmin forum and Reddit platforms and I am getting approximately 10% drain a day, (WITH NO GPS ACTIVITIES). I chose the MIP solar version because I work outside all day, in SW Florida, so I figured if anyone can utilize the solar feature then I could, and since it’s always sunny and bright here I would almost never have an issue with the MIP screen. Battery consumption would be minimal for me….. so I thought. Now, this wouldn’t be a big deal if the watch wasn’t 1,200 dollars. Honestly it wouldn’t be so upsetting if Garmin wouldn’t boast “29 in smartwatch and 40 plus with solar.” I will most likely be returning this and trying the Amoled… and if that sucks then I’ll be sticking with my Instinct that’s been a beast for me. I hope this helps someone.

I love this product. Good condition and delivery on time

One of the best watches I have ever owned. There are so many activities it offers and using the garment connect you have so many options for watch faces, and other apps.

Great watch. I really wanted to like the solar mip display but I couldn’t do it. It wasn’t the fact that it was dim, it was the resolution I couldn’t get used to. It’s 2025. You can’t have bad resolution anymore. It’s too hard to go backwards. I returned and got the amoled and it’s much better.

I love everything about my phoenix 8 I have been using it for 2 weeks and is been helping me push myself. I still learning how to go through the settings There's a couple things that I don't like. The battery life doesn't last as long as they said.My only lasted 12 days in a full charge Also doesn't read the blood pressure.I would like that.

Love this watch, needed a great fitness tracker and I’ve been let down by the accuracy of Apple Watch and Fitbit….this watch has everything I need and more. I really like how well it tracks my workouts, showing which muscle groups I’ve worked without me even entering what type of workout I was doing. Super happy with my purchase.

Great product. Upgraded from Instict. Easy to use.

On my 3rd week of use, upgraded from the Fenix 6 Pro. I absolutely loved the 6, had it for 3 1/2 years, worked flawlessly the whole time and it took a beating doing everything I do. Minus showers and charge time, I wore 24/7. Saw the Fenix 8 on sale, $200 off, and decided to upgrade to the larger 51mm from the 47mm due to my aging eyes. Wow! What an upgrade. Considering I loved my 6, this is saying a lot. I love the larger size and all the new stuff added. It seems everything has been improved. The menus have been re-worked to make a lot more sense, the touch screen is awesome, but I still wanted the buttons (which are still there). The answering calls works (rarely used, but when I use it I need it) very well. I love the morning report, everything seems even more accurate, and I found the 6 to be awesome. I have a lot of notifications turned on, on my phone, and a custom watch face, which I love (purchased) and I still get 2 weeks of battery life (including a few hikes using GPS). This is literally the Lexus of sports watches. I can't say enough good things about it. The cost.. Considering I'll have this for probably 4 years like the Fenix 6 before it, $250 a year for me is a great bargain and, with the 6's data and this one, I'm currently going on 5 years of data (had a Garmin prior to the 6). I love all the fine details of data this watch provides! Side note on my purchase: I purchased from Best Buy, and unfortunately there was a theft of the watch when picking up on line. The box felt ultra lite, so checking the box 10 feet outside Best Buy's door, I discovered I paid $1000 for an empty box! Panicked, I immediately ran back in and said the box was empty, so had to return the empty box, and Best Buy stood by me getting a box that had an actual watch in it. Honestly, I don't know if it was a display model that never made it back in the box or not, but check your purchases before you leave the store. If I came back in an hour later after I discovered the empty box at home, I'm not so sure I would have been believed! But over all I'm a very happy with Best Buy honoring the "disappearance" of the watch and Garmin for making such an awesome product!

★★★★★ Absolutely Worth It — The Best Watch I’ve Owned I’ve had the Garmin Fēnix 8 51mm Sapphire for several months now, and it has exceeded my expectations. I wanted a watch that could handle serious workouts, running, strength training, travel, and everyday wear without constantly worrying about charging it or damaging it. This watch delivers. The 51mm AMOLED display is outstanding—large, bright, crisp, and easy to read indoors or outside. The sapphire glass has held up extremely well, and the watch still looks premium enough to wear outside the gym. Where the Fēnix 8 really separates itself is the fitness and performance data. GPS accuracy has been excellent, and the training, recovery, heart-rate, sleep, and overall performance metrics give me far more useful information than a typical smartwatch. Battery life is also phenomenal considering the size and brightness of the display. It isn’t a cheap watch, but after actually owning and using it, I understand the price. It feels like a serious piece of equipment rather than another smartwatch that needs to be replaced every couple of years. If you’re active, train regularly, travel, or simply want one premium watch that can do almost everything, the Fēnix 8 Sapphire is hard to beat. 5/5 — I’d absolutely buy it again.

As a marathon runner and fitness enthusiast, the Garmin Fenix 8 Solar Sapphire has been a game-changer for me. The build quality is phenomenal, and the 51mm size feels substantial without being bulky. The Solar Sapphire display not only looks stunning but also extends battery life significantly—a huge plus during long training sessions or races. The GPS accuracy is top-notch, even in dense urban areas or wooded trails. I especially appreciate the detailed running metrics, including cadence, stride length, and recovery insights. It’s like having a personal coach on my wrist. Plus, the heart rate monitoring and VO2 max tracking have helped me fine-tune my training plans. Another standout feature is the solar charging. It adds just enough juice to get me through those extra-long runs without worrying about battery life. The smartwatch features, such as notifications and music controls, are intuitive and keep me connected without pulling out my phone. Overall, this watch is perfect for serious runners, adventurers, or anyone looking to elevate their fitness game. It's a bit of an investment, but if you're passionate about your performance, it’s worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Replacing fenix 7X sapphire solar with fenix 8 Solar Sapphire - at first I had heartburn over the cost difference but soon got over it after I found out how well it works. The sensors are way better - getting more accurate information from the watch, the display is much easier to read and the bigger area because of the solar redesign. Can see it better in daylight, kept going back and forth about getting the AMOLED instead but if you are using it outdoors this seems to be easier to see in direct sunlight. The AMOLED is really cool and if you are indoors most of time that is the way to go because of the bright colors. And coming from the 7X the 8 solar is way easier to read indoors as well. It just doesn't have those bright colors like the AMOLED. The buttons and touch screen on the watch seem to be easier to push comparing the old with the new and having the phone attached makes it easier when you have your phone in your backpack or somewhere you can't get to it quickly. So far, and I waited to use it before writing the review - the charging seems to be really fast even compared to my other garmin watches I have had. One thing I have not figured out is the movement and the face lights up - the old one you really had to move your arm to get it to light-up but this one a slight move and it lights up. At night when I am sleeping it lights up so I need to figure out how to turn off at night. BTW- the sleep score it produces seems to way more accurate then the old one. I can tell the next day when I read it and it says I didn't sleep well that's the way I feel. The old one would have you slept great and I felt like crap and was not ready to workout. So overall really seems to be a better and more useful then previous models.

Great watch, the GPS saved me from getting lost in the dessert a few times. When 2 other GPS' were sending me the wrong way, the Fenix 8 Solar Sapphire 51mm was more accurately, preventing me from getting lost. However, previous model 7X Pro Solar 51mm, was much better in terms of battery, buttons felt better.

I love Garmin products...especially the Fenix line of watches. This is my fourth. I hike and bike a lot, and most smartwatches' batteries can't keep up. I am very hard on watches, the these are the only watches that can stand up to the task. Don't buy the solar version and expect it to charge up in the sunlight. The solar feature simply slows the discharge of the battery rather than increasing the battery percentage. This is great for those long hikes that could take 8+ hours. My Samsung watches would die before I got back to the truck. I smack rocks, trees, etc. while I'm hiking, and this rugged watch handles it all!

I’ll start with the fact I am a garmin elitist. I had the enduro 2 for my entire career so far in the military. I decided to upgrade and chose to go with this bad Larry right here. 1) battery life is awful and definitely not as advertised. 2) down button stopped working. I don’t know what route I can go to get this situation fixed to get an enduro 3 as a replacement but I’d recommend enduro as the best for military/camping/survival/Running. The enduro 2 is incredible and is more durable and the battery is to die for. As you can imagine being in the thicket for weeks or even months on end, you’d need a durable watch that lasts long. That is not this one. At least for me. But to each one’s own. S/O to Best Buy and Garmin either way. Hopefully I can get with geek squad and we can remedy this situation so I can continue being the annoying garmin elitist I am.
