Decided to try out Garmin watches as I wanted to focus more on fitness. I did my research and went with the Garmin Forerunner 955 solar edition! Let me just say the battery alone is a game changer. My galaxy 5 pro would last 4 days maybe. Ive had my garmin for a 12 days and I still have 5 days left of battery at 38%. The solar definitely helps out! Dont plan on getting a full charge on only solar. The solar is meant to keep the battery from depleting and give it just a bit of extra juice depending on how much sun exposure you have. If anything just buy the none solar edition for $100 less if it helps. Anywho the apps it supprts are great. Tracking my runs is perfect with no hiccups. Great at keeping track of my sleep. And overall its a great watch! Hope this helps someone!

I purchased this watch about 3 weeks ago. I selected it over the 965 because I preferred the solar option to the AMOLED screen. I wanted a watch primarily for exercise and health monitoring with excellent battery life. I was replacing a Fitbit Charge 5 which was good for heart rate and sleep monitoring but did a poor job with GPS accuracy. The Fitbit requiring a premium subscription to show me my own data really put me off buying anything else from them. Even with premium, the Fitbit data analysis is pitiful compared to what you get with the Garmin watches. So far the 955 been great. I've only had to charge it once and I wear it almost non-stop. I run about 3 days a week. The GPS connects in under a minute and has great accuracy. I've paired it to my earbuds and can listen to Spotify while I run. You get an incredible amount of data and charts after every activity. The watch keeps track of your sleep, stress, and overall activity and gives recommended exercise. I've found it to be pretty accurate in terms of what it recommends versus how I feel and what I'm able to do. My only negative was I wish it could run the Nike Run Club app like Wear OS watches can. You can pair Garmin watches to the Nike app to have your activities show up there, but you can't do the guided training like you can with the apps. Overall its a minor quibble.

Battery lasts a long time and its fairly simple to use. Great for those that do a bunch of different activities. Durable watch and screen doesnt scratch easily.

I love this watch. It has a long battery life and the solar charging is kind of cool, even though I’m not totally convinced it works as good as it should. Worth the cost though.

Excellent Fitness piece. Light, comfortable and all metrics are accurate. Careful wearing with routine yard work. Screen is rather easy to scratch. Training Metrics are a plus. Can't go wrong with the Forerunner 955

Love this watch. I’m an intermediate runner, and it checks all the boxes. I love the battery life and the added training plans the app gives. Highly recommended

Nearly a 3 year old watch, but Garmin has kept it up-to-date with the latest features being offered on their newer generations. Extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear. Highly recommend

Best garmin watch i have owned! I had the fenix 7 but this phone gives you all the features as that plus the touchscreen for hundreds dollars less! Really happy with it!

Best watch over ever had. Great for runners and other sports.

This is my third Garmin watch, and at first, I really liked it, what with all of the bells and whistles that came along with it. However, over time I noticed that for the same workouts, the readings for heart rate and calories burned have been trickling down. My first two Garmins were very consistent and consistent with each other, and I could tell pretty much what my results would be. With this watch, it's a crapshoot, end expect lower readings than expected.

Great watch. If you are an active runner or athlete this watch is perfect for you. Easy to operate.

Sometimes it's not clear how to adjust settings, but overall this is a great watch for navigating the trail as well as everyday use.
