Battery lasts for well over a week

Previous Apple Watch user for years and I am so glad to make the switch to Garmin! The battery life alone is worth it. This thing weighs a fraction of what the Apple Watch does. I started running again and the Garmin tracks so much more. It also gives me more of a break from the all of the “smart watch” distractions while still keeping me in the loop with call, text, and email notifications.

Garmin 970 nice but needs quicker performance

So far its a great fitness tracker. Garmin gives you a lot of health stats but there have been some bugs. It missed a 4hr nap/sleep I took and that was very disappointing. My Samsung ring recorded the nap but the Garmin didn't and because it missed it, Garmin connect thought I wasn't getting enough sleep and gave me a low energy score. The google assistant a doesnt work well. Also the lagging is hard to work with especially since most high end devices improve their performance each year. The battery life is great of course because it's Garmin but I usually have to reset the watch if i see the battery draining faster than normal. This usually fixes any issues. Nice watch but there are so many cheaper and possible better options out there.

I had the 735XT for years and finally upgraded to this new Forerunner 970 !! DEFINITELY WORTH IT, longer battery life & the accuracy has been better

Significant upgrade from my previous Garmin watch

This watch is such a significant upgrade from the Vivo 4 Music I am replacing. The display, touchscreen and battery life are just a few things I am really enjoying about this watch.

I love this watch! Still learning all the ins and outs. It takes maybe an hour to charge but it stays charged for a good week. My chat and teams messagea go to it and i track my steps sleep etc

Great for runners. Treadmill tracking iffy

This is obviously the Cadillac of fitness watches. It tracks a lot of metrics and workouts very well, but sometimes the treadmill distance tracking can be inaccurate even with constant calibration. The UI takes time to get used to transitioning from an Apple Watch and you have to get yourself familiar with the Garmin Connect app.
