I've been an early adopter with the POV cameras as I capture my motorcycle rides and travels. I had the GoPro Hero, Hero 2, Hero 3 and got tired of their fast release cycles. What drove me to the VIRB was the GPS, G-metrix data & 4k. I have fiber into the house and a 4K TV and YouTube enables my content. This was a great fit. The quality is fantastic. What really worked out great was the video on switch. With the Hero, I'd feel for the power, guess it was on & then hit record. I'd then hope it was recording. More than a number of times this wasn't the case. Or I left it running and ran the battery down. The VIRB has a dedicated video switch with a great tactile feel even with motorcycle gloves. I know with certainty I'm recording or not. It was a great transition and if I trashed this one I'd buy another. Happy shooting - James Scott S

Surprising battery life... easily got 1.5 hrs of continuous 1080p video with a bit left to spare. I LOVE the timelapse mode that bases pics off distance traveled rather than time. The VIRB included editing software is excellent and intuitive. Only annoying bit is finding a handlebar mount that could deal with tapered road bicycle handle bars but it holds well enough to use. I did like the old virb better in the sense that it was waterproof without a case, but the case included does an okay job (it will fog up a bit on hot damp days though) and sound gets through surprisingly well. Digital stabilizing was better than I expected by go find youtube videos to see for yourself... text description is not all that useful.

I have been researching the Virb cameras for awhile now, Just got the Ultra 30 and couldn't be happier. The G-Matrix data is excellent for autocross. Connected fine with my OBDLink LX to record vehicle data. GPS seams to be dead on so far and the video quality is excellent if not better than competitors. Works fine with all my existing GoPro mounts. Thanks Garmin, You have something Great Here.

I love this thing. It is compatible with all GoPro mounts and has voice activation, and overlays. Garmin actually listens to it's consumers and makes changes.

I bought this little camera to use with my Garmin 8612’s it works great and is very easy to use. Takes great quality video and photos. The best think I like is how easy it is to use. No need to read a library. I have two older GoPros and I like this much better.

Chose this Garmin Virb because it is waterproof to record sailing videos from the bow of my UFO foiling cat. It also will give me speed and other info which will make it more interesting. Can't wait for the ice to leave!

The Virb is a great action camera. The view is crystal clear. It gives location, speed, and other information that can be presented on the final video. The editing software is usable but feels a bit clunky.

Overall this product has been reliable. Touchscreen display is amazing. 4k recording is also a plus. There isnt anything negative about this product.

This little camera was great while it worked. I bought it just over a year ago and now it stops filming at random times. At times it tells me that there is something wrong with my memory card. I have tried different brands and still having the same issue. I then put the card into my GoPro3 and I have no issues. Never buying garmin again. Actually, I've already moved on to the GoPro7 black.
