Customers appreciate the 12-Cup Food Processor's ease of use and powerful chopping blade, finding it efficient for various tasks like chopping and shredding vegetables. The large capacity is also a significant plus for many users, allowing them to process large quantities of food. While some find the size substantial, the overall quality and quiet operation are frequently praised.
This stainless steel GE 12 Cup Food Processor looks great and has 4 suction cups on the bottom to keep it from moving around on the countertop. They release easily when you pick it up to move it. Bowl latches firmly onto base since it only fits one way. Same with the lid. There are no useful instructions included just a 12 page booklet explaining how to assemble the various parts that are inconsistently named so you have to determine that the "Work Bowl" is also known as "The Processing Chamber". Two slicing and reversible shredding discs but no explanation of which is which, just a picture on the back of the box. Medium shredding has more holes than fine shredding. You can only use one at a time on the stem adapter and they are super sharp so pick them up carefully. There is also a Chopping/Mixing/Dough blade that does not use the stem adapter, it only fits on the accessory adapter built into the bottom of the Processing Chamber. Functions page covers how to prepare various food items like removing pits and seeds and what can be done to them with the blades . Food is placed into the Chute in the lid and pushed down using the Plunger. I tried slicing cleaned celery stalks, apple pieces and cheese blocks using Pulse. Fast and easy in one run. Shredding Romaine lettuce rolled into stalks and placed in the feeding tube takes one pass using LOW. Shredding cheese blocks and baby carrots take repeated passes through the chute using the plunger until you achieve the desired size and texture. Always unplug the machine before emptying the work bowl into another container to reload the chute. If parts are not latched correctly it won't run. Good safety feature. Since the instructions are limited to various items on the Functions page the best way to learn is by testing foods using various discs and speeds. Cleaning is easy as most parts just need a rinse between foods except cheese. A bottle brush is the safest way to clean the discs after shredding cheese. You can also use it to scrub out the work bowl. The tube inside the plunger can be removed for washing, too. All parts are top rack dishwasher safe once you are done using your food processor for the day.

Our old food processor died so we replaced it with this one. Wife loved this one more.

As someone who meal preps for a 5 day work week, the GE food processor absolutely destroys the time it takes to prep. It makes it so easy and quick. Solid build quality as expected from GE. Stylish and large! Up to 12 (slightly less for overflow and lid) cups of just about anything you want chop up to puree can be tossed into it. Turned about 5 large whole tomatoes into a puree in just under a minute for my pasta dishes. Comes with multiple blade attachments to use with 3 different speed/setting, Low, High and Pulse. Made quick work of all veggies thrown at it, Celery, Cucumbers, Lettuce etc. I love the fact that there are suction feet on the bottom to prevent accidental slips and possible falls to the floor if unsupervised. Holds up really well. Easy assembly and easier to clean up. Highly recommend to anyone who is in the market for a food processor.
