  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: true (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

Q: Is the inside steel or plastic? Not the trays-but the actual sides/walls.

A: Hi - The inside tub and door is lined with gray plastic. Thanks for considering this beautiful dishwasher for your kitchen! -Gina@GEA

Q: The specifications, and an earlier Q&A are very misleading. The rough opening is claimed to require 24" yet the specifications and the Q&A answer both say it is a 24-3/4" wide dishwasher. You can't put a 24-3/4 wide object through a 24" wide hole. !?

A: Hi - We are so sorry for any confusion we may have inadvertently caused you. This dishwasher actually measures 23 3/4" wide and will fit in a 24" opening. We appreciate your interest in this great model and will work to get the specifications corrected. We are glad you reached out to us. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA

Q: How long does it take to wash dishes using this dishwasher?

A: Roughly one hour. Drying cycle takes about 1/2 time.

Q: Can I buy and add the 3rd silverware rack?

A: Yes, you can. This model dishwasher is compatible with the GPF3RACK 3rd rack accessory. -Vikki@GEAppliances

Q: Do any white dishwashers include a China cycle?

A: We have models GDT645SGNWW, GDT226SGLWW, and GDF535PGRWW that have Light/1 Hour cycles that are safe for China.

Overall good, watch out for sharp left over paint

Overall I like the dishwasher. Although does not have the utensil section in the door area so you lose some space on the bottom tray for plates. The drying is pretty good and stuff does come out clean. The upper tray had paint drips leftover with a sharp end. My wife hurt herself placing things, had to go with a bit of sandpaper to even out a bit. Hopefully this doesnt open tray to rust.
