Had to replace our 1996 GE built-in microwave. Based on cut-out measurements, this and the matching microwave appeared to "fit". AND IT DID. Installation was easy - and it looks great.

just like all the other reviews it was the wrong size for my cabinet opening so the contractor had to come back and fix it but it had to cut off about 1.5 inches off the cabinet opening and now I am pleased with how it looks when he initially installed it it was off centered but after the modification to cabinet it is centered over new wall oven i posted before pics and after modification pics

The perfect trim kit to install our new microwave in an existing space with minor modifications.

It makes the microwave oven look built in. It looks like stainless steel. You would never know that it’s not.

This trim kit was purchased to replace previous GE trim kit. GE has redesigned the kit where it does not fit flush against the wall, thereby leaving an ugly open gap about an inch wide. Beware unless you want dust and debris trapped around the microwave!

I purchased this trim kit to fit the GE Profile microwave model PCWK22U1WDD. Looks great, the trim really elevates the countertop microwave to be a built in. It took me about an hour to install the microwave and the trim kit by myself (I have no experience with installing any appliances). It comes with a placement template and step by step instructions. Easy enough for someone who's only handy if it comes with very detailed instructions! The fit feels secure. I'm happy with both the microwave and the trim kit. It was delivered quickly and the guys dropped all the boxes off in my kitchen.

Fit was good as advertised. My old one was metal. This one is all plastic. A bit pricey for a plastic frame, but had to buy it to install the microwave.

This surround completes the built in for the GE Profile PEB7227SLSS microwave. The surround comes with all the mounting hardware for the microwave install (NOT JUST THE HARDWARE FOR THE SURROUND). You need to buy this so that you can mount the PEB7227SLSS (or whatever color you get). This is a little confusing in that it seems you are paying for just the surround when you are actually getting the 'install kit AND surround' with this unit. The only reason I rated a 4 star is that it is not solid metal but basically a very strong plastic. It does however look GREAT installed. The screws to attach it to its mounting brackets are a trick. Doable, but a trick to get into the slot. So have patience. Worth it when all said and done.

It looks great once installed. Took a huge effort to get it installed. Our earlier microwave and trimkit was also a GE. For some reason GE decided to change the design of the trimkit so it did not fit our opening. Designers - the top bracket need to attach across the front not to the underneath of the front! Also, the screws are not long enough. Took 2 days of adjusting our opening and cutting the trim kit but we finally got it to work. Only recommend because it's the only one that fits our opening.

Easy to instill. Made my built in microwave look nice and clean!

Looks great! It’s hard to know exactly how far the edges will overlap the cabinet. I had to pay extra to have the prior microwave cavity raised to allow this to be installed so that it fits with the matching GE profile built-in wall oven. It looks good now that it’s installed but exact overlap measurements would have helped. Cost additional to have the installer modify and raise the microwave cut-out opening. The install sheet was not adequate information.

This trim kit looks great and was easy to install. It fit our oven perfectly.

Had to get a new microwave as the old one broke. Had to get s new trim kit to match the new microwave. There was nothing wrong with the old trim kit. Why can’t you make a trim kit to fit all microwaves that size instead of having to pay $200 for a new one?

Works well and fits well. Adds good looking trim to the microwave.

It works for the microwave we purchased, but was on back order for really really long so we pretty much had a hole in cabinets for months. We had to do some adjustments because it didn’t fit on the first try, overall it’s pretty good.

Matches well with its GE microwave. Smudges, fingerprints, and food stains wipe off easily. No scratches yet. Extremely overpriced regardless.

Fits perfect with my GE Profile microwave and the stainless steel trim matched great with my other appliances.
