Control every detail of dinner preparations with this 30" GE convection wall oven. Its true European convection uses a third element and fan combination to create beautifully even results every time. This 5.0 cu. ft. built-in GE convection wall oven lets you bake multiple recipes simultaneously.
Q: Is the color of the oven Black or Matte black? From the picture it looks matte black?
A: It is not a pure black. But we have counter appliances that match it so it ties in. The old microwave above it doesn't. But I figure it only has a year or two left anyway.
A: I don't know if there is a manual way to turn off that fan. But if you are just letting it sit, don't you just turn the oven off altogether? If you mean you are starting out with Confection Bake but want to continue to bake without the fan, Cancel the operation and start it again in Bake.
A: My husband and I installed ours in less than two hours. And we are old so we have to go slow. We had them deliver it directly into the kitchen and took it from there.
A: Good day, We appreciate you reaching out and expressing interest in this fabulous wall oven. This model is a pure black model. The only black slate wall oven we currently have is model JTD5000FNDS and it is a double wall oven. Please let us know if you have any questions. Take care! Mike@GEA

A: Hi MarkS - Thanks for considering GE Model # JTS5000DNBB! Gas and electric ovens will cycle on and off throughout the cycle to maintain the set temperature. When the oven temperature has dropped below the set temperature, the oven cycles on again to heat and will then cycle off again once it is higher than the set temperature. The goal is to maintain an average set temperature, but you will see a normal swing in temperatures throughout the cycle. This is typical of ovens, and is factored into how recipes are created and used. The amount the oven will cycle (either higher or lower than the set temperature) will vary, and each individual unit can be different. While we cannot provide exact temperature fluctuation ranges or variance, temperatures may vary from the set temperature by + 30 degrees to – 30 degrees. The temperature swing can also vary by how and where you are measuring the temperature in the oven, room temperature, door openings, etc. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to ask. We are also happy to help at GEAppliances.com! Sue
