Bought this to accompany GE Profile 1.7 Cu. Ft Convection Over-the-Range microwave (model PVM9179DK3BB) to fill a 36 inch wide space. This kit does NOT fit the microwave. The kit panels are 15 5/8 inches tall whereas the microwave is 16 1/8 inches tall. The half inch wouldn't be that big of deal except for the fact it attaches at the bottom of the microwave in addition to the back. Apparently GE expects the gap to be at the top which would leave nice little voids for everyone to see. I called GE and verified this indeed was the kit DESIGNED FOR THIS MICROWAVE. GE SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED. This left me with the choices of returning both the microwave and the fillers or modifying the filler panels so the gap was not at the top. I elected to modify the panels as I could always return the microwave and eat the cost of the filler kit. I cut the tabs off the bottom of the filler panels leaving the panels to attach to the back of the microwave and the somewhat flimsy metal strap on top. This resolved the problem where the gap would be on top. I shouldn't have to be cutting off metal tabs to install these but it worked better than GE designed. I would not recommend except for the fact that this is better than nothing.

I needed the item and it served its purpose very well however they are about 1/3 of an inch to short and they all are so there’s a small gap at the top on each side of my microwave, the manufacturer needs to make them the same hight as the standard microwaves are.

The fillers are exactly what we needed because our previous microwave was old and enormous- the kitchen cabinets were made to fit - Our salesman OG was excellent in providing us with them!

The filler kit looks very good when installed. If there is a downside, they are very expensive. Although necessary to fill the gaps around the microwave space, I struggle with the cost associated. It is almost the cost of another microwave.

Essential part for install of the GE Microwave (MW). Had to wait ~ 1 yr. Sad - but surely some aspects supply chain related.

It works ok but needs improvements. Like more mounting options, pre drilled holes, straps, shims, etc. Frankly, barely met my acceptable grade and certainly overpriced for a flimsy, at best, filler. BUT, it’s the only SS filler option for a unit mounting over a 36” cooktop and this is the only reason I gave it a Recommend option.

If you had a 36'' Microwave The GE - 36" Over-the-Range Microwave Accessory Filler Kit - Stainless steel is a must have. All new microwaves are 30" Over the range Microwave looks great with filler kit.

Looks and fits great. Too expensive. Very little metal.

Replacing an over-the-cooktop microwave is tough since standard widths have reduced from 36" to 30". This trim kit looks good. Since it was installed by Best Buy and I didn't install it myself, I don't know if it's universal or only works with GE products, but with the GE unit it certainly looks good, you're really not aware that it's a fix for a problem that should never have existed in the first place.

These are the most over priced items that Best Buy carries. These items were more expensive than the Microwave they were to be attached to. This product should be $25 each and they were over $200. They look Ok, when installed, but have like 1 Screw to hold them in. So they slide. I would not recommend this product. Look for a different option.

Use items to close gap on LG 29 inch microwave. Looks great!

Aside from being overpriced, the product does not fit flush with GE microwaves as the picture shows. There are other products on internet at the tenth of the cost of this one, but this one is supposedly fits best. Not true! I am disappointed to say the least. I would not recommend this to anybody.

They look great! Now I just need the microwave to go with it!

I had a 36in microwave that came with the house many years ago. Unfortunately they don’t make 36inch microwaves again (or at least I couldn’t find one to buy). This trim kit works well on GE microwave and it is easy to self install.

This piece was needed to install my new microwave as they don’t make my size microwave anymore . I had trouble finding it so I am glad Best Buy had it .

Bought this to fill in the gap from our old 36 inch microwave. Unfortunately no one makes a 36 inch any longer. The installer did an excellent job however I thought the price was a rip off.

As advertised, the Best Buy installers were awesome, having said that, the cost of this trim kit exceeded the cost of the microwave itself!

This is a necessary evil. Had to buy so that the microwave fit in the space provided. But the price is ridiculous

It fit the space and was necessary to accommodate a 30” microwave where ac36” one had been before.

We replaced an old microwave and needed a trim kit to fill the space. It looks great. It makes it look finished.
