We were really frustrated we couldn't fit regular sized appliances in our small 1955 home. We did a ton of research to find something that would fit. We wanted a gas dryer but they don't make compact dryers with gas any longer. This was what we chose and we have been very happy with it. It actually holds more than we thought it would. The only downside is it's a tad noisy and since we have it in our kitchen, we can hear it when it's running.

Easy to hook up, super light, and so far works great. Just installed so no time for issues but seems quiet. If you get the set, the washer plugs into the dryer regardless if you stack or not. Then you need to buy a 3 or 4 prong cord and attach to dryer, which was easy. Dryer also has available pop outs at bottom back in case you need to move your dryer vent to one of the sides for space saving.

Upon delivery, I was somewhat disappointed as this model was only available online and not in our local store. However, I quickly found it very efficient and easy to use. Honestly, I would have given 5 stars but towels and sheets are a bit tricky as you need to monitor and possibly untangle along the way. Other than for those two items, it works perfectly. Best Buy delivery drivers were great!!! Removal of old appliances and hook up of new all went smoothly - very professional!

So, folks will likely look at this dryer and think it's just for dorms or something - not so! This will dry towels, hoodies, sweatpants, and an armful of socks in about an hour. Ok, it takes a little longer than a full sized dryer, but not unreasonably so. There is an actual lint-trap that is easy to remove and clean. The tub can take a large armful of whatever you got. There is a setting for any assortment of laundry you might want to throw in. The alarm is easily noticeable singing that it's done. The sensor will stop the cycle early if the clothes are dry before the timer is up - saving you energy and $. If you don't quite have the room for a full sized unit, this is a more than satisfactory substitute for smaller spaces (closets, for example) Just be sure you have a 240 plug, as it will not work with a standard plug, and a vent to the outside like a normal-sized dryer. Worth the money!

Works great, better than expected, gets the job done

This dryer is larger than I expected and I am pleased about that. The dimensions are a bit off. I had to remove the door and door frame to get it in. My opening was max 24 inches. It has lots of cycles. I needed a vented dryer, and there was very little choice for a compact size.

Excellent dryer, efficient and very easy to use. A little noisy but not too bad.

I've only been using this dryer for a couple weeks, but I'm extremely impressed with the features and ease of use designed into this unit. It's a nice looking appliance to boot. The capacity is quite decent for such a compact system, and it's perfect for the smaller space of an apartment laundry closet.

We moved to a new condo with very little room for a washer and dryer. This was our best option. A warning - the dryers are easy to dent, on the sides. The first two, of 3 dryers, arrived with almost invisible dents that created a very noisy dryer experience. The third dryer had no issues. Getting replacements took an annoyingly long time. The dryers have a small capacity and do take longer to dry, even light loads, but it fits the smallish space, which was the goal.

After 2 years this is a pretty solid dryer. There are times heavy bulk items like my duvet cover and towels need to be run through 2 cycles but mostly really happy. Delicates cycle works great, havent shrunk a single item.

We purchased new compact washer to go with a new frontloader washer. The dry cycle seems a little on the long end, but the clothes come out dry , It is vital to empty the lint trap frequently. It feels quite low without a platform, but that is how my wife likes it Wewill put a work shelf over the top of the device at usual countertop height.

I like the dryer but need to investigate why it often stops when the clothes are just damp dry. Also, capacity is small-ish. I had to buy this set to fit under a counter, but it's too small to dry multiple - for example - king bed sheets at a time. The fitted sheets especially ball up with all the other dryer items inside. The biggest issue is that it plays a tune when it stops drying and the turn plays every minute or so until you open the door. Very annoying. But, again, it might be user error and there is probably a setting to stop the alert sound.

This set I bought was the best decision that I made. I needed a smaller set that would fit in the small space I have and I glad I picked this cause it fits perfect it works great very easy to use if I had to purchase it again I would.

After 2 weeks of use, the dryer is making a squeaky noise, on and off. Also, for the size I think it is a bit overpriced but there are not many options for this depth and vented dryer.
I am very satisfied with this dryer. Its size is what I needed for the laundry closet in my new condo, and the fact that it stacks on top of the matching washer makes it a great combo. So far I've found that it performs well, getting my clothes and household laundry dry in a reasonable time. The multitude of choices re cycle, length of time, and temperature mean that I can dry any item I may have washed.

Needed a smaller dryer to fit down a narrow staircase. This works well, but does take longer to dry than other dryers I have owned.

This dryer is loud. It also takes a long time to dry the clothes. I started setting every load as “towels.” That way it only takes 45 minutes.

We're sorry to hear that you've not been pleased with the design of your new dryer. We recommend making sure your lint trap and exhaust are free from debris, and that you are not overloading your dryer since these can all lead to longer drying times. Needed to replace our trusty 23 year old compact Miele washer and dryer and this GE model was perfect. It holds as much or more of a load than our old machines did and they are easy to operate.
