Pretty amazing. We bought this washer to replace our old set that we bought over 30 years ago when we first got married. This one, like other new washers, does not wash quite like the older ones. Rather than running constantly, it more or less pulses. I've seen this in other top loaders too, as I believe this is a way of energy conservation (if the motor is only running half the time, only about half of the energy usage). So in spite of my concerns of getting the clothes clean, it does an incredible job! I never remember getting my dirty work clothes so clean, in such a short ammount of time, with nothing involved other than putting the clothes in, adding soap and waiting about 30 for clean clothes. Between this and the matching dryer, I have seen energy consumption drop an average of about $15.00 a month (4 adults in our household). Couldn't be happier with this purchase. Seems solid, and well built, and extremely easy to use. No, it doesn't have any "smart" capabilities, but why would you want or even need it? You need to be right there to add clothes, you have to be right there to put them into the dryer. This set is exactly what my wife and I had been looking for.

I have used this washing machine for about a month now. It has a nice large tub and seems to wash items well. Our old front loader broke down after leaking water for a few years. I definitely wanted a top loader and needed something as inexpensive as possible. This GE washer seemed to be the best we could find. Unfortunately, we had to pay for installation and new hoses in order for the warranty to be in tact. The drain hose is not very good as it’s short and took some creative engineering on our part (so much for paying for the installation)to get it to work. Even though the tub is large do not fill it when washing towels or blankets. If they’re too heavy the tub gets unbalanced during the spin cycle. I’ve had to pause the cycle and readjust. It may also discontinue the cycle if the load is too heavy. All in all this is a great washer for someone who prioritizes getting the job done and knows the importance of washing dirty clothes not desiring a “cleansing experience” that makes you feel more important because you can show off your laundry room ;)

Lots of room. Washes well. I think I’m still putting in a lot when I wash sheets and blankets in together because it makes an awful noise. That’s on me I think. User error maybe. Aside from that everything else works fine.

This is the best washing machine I’ve had in a long time. It’s very easy to use even though it has a lot of buttons. It has an agitator so I feel like my clothes are actually getting clean because I just had one with no agitator and it was awful. The laundry loads don’t take all day to wash and they come out smelling fresh. Plus you have a happy little song when you push the start button and when the machine ends.

Basic GE washer no bells and whistles it has options extra spin deep rinse soak I choose this unit with the options invade I had to soak my husband’s work clothes, it’s a little loud doesn’t bother me. I’m able to wash my king bedding it’s perfect it fits in my wash room I am able to access my washing machine. My previous washer had all the bells and whistles it was huge they even had to remove my door and the threshold didn’t last so many issues with the previous washer. I’ve had my GE 4.5 for 23 days I’m happy with my purchase.

Great washer, cleans really well. Capable of large volume loads. Fast cycles and lots of options. Overall, highly recommend it. Just one downside, it’s quite loud even with the laundry doors closed you can hear the machine.

Lovely … this is a consistent issue since I’ve owned the set. It’s torn a couple of items but mostly just a tangled mess. It cleans well but be prepared to untie shirts with long sleeves, pants & sheets. It’s not very efficient as I often feel I have to wash the items again which cost more time & water. It seems to be a common problem with new washers as I know of others that have different brands but the same problem. Keep your old set if you can!!

As we have always used washing machines built by another leading manufacturer; we hesitated just a moment on this GE Washing Machine. After getting it home and hooked up; we even further doubted the situation. However, we never gave up and acknowledged that we are “creatures of habit” and merely had to be patient with the “learning curve”. And now, you couldn’t take it away from us. Larger capacity than we have ever had along with some great features that far exceed previous equipment. Very nice machine. Thank You.

Washer works good, it’s quite noisy which could be an issue depending where in the house it is. Multiple features and easy to use.

Takes care of the essential business of washing clothes and allows you to easily control the water level. Often in the pursuit of saving water modern machines do not clean clothes properly. This machine leans a bit toward the old ways but it is effective. Ratings show that this should be a reliable product for 10+ years. It is a bit louder than the Samsung it replaces but closing the door on the laundry room takes care of that! The price was right from Best Buy and the installation was a breeze. The installers were professional and efficient.

We love this washer - it is an excellent value for the price. It can handle large and bulky loads or very small and delicate - and all gets clean. It has a lot of options for load size and type. It is a little loud and don’t have the extra tech but still for the price is a great value.

It feels like they listened to all of the issues people grumble about and made a new machine more suitable to the user. Yay! It's your choice if you use the Eco feature (I do not). You can use deep fill or Maxi and have plenty of water for any wash load. I love being able to set a soaking time for certain loads. And, I always leave it on extra spin. Since I don't care how long it takes, I feel it makes for less drying time when the clothing is well wrung out. Even though this is electronic, they have put dials for those of us who just want to turn a knob. Thank you very much! It works great. Love the large size of the tub and it always looks so shiny! I have no problem reaching the bottom (5'4"). The temperature choices are fine though sometimes not what I thought (cold vs cool). I just put my hand under to determine which one is what I call warm. Normally I would ignore all the choices of types of wash cycles (and I am mostly doing so on this machine) but things like the speed wash are intriguing. I feel there are choices where I am comfortable doing what would be hand washing which is always a plus. And, the lid does not lock except for the spin cycle. Thank you for removing that irritation! I was mourning the loss of my die-hard Kenmore that I had for 25 years, and I am truly amazed at how happy I am with this new GE washing machine. What a relief! This has wonderful features, is very easy to use, will get your clothes clean ... and doesn't break the bank! Highly recommend.

I wanted a machine that used enough water and with this model you have the deep fill option. The water covers the clothes and they come out clean. The large load capacity was such a surprise.... I hope it lasts as long as my last Kenmore did 15 years. Im writing this review on 4/11 - and purchased it on 3/14 so not quite a month. Best Buy had the best price also.... I am very happy with my purchase! Thank you Best buy!

I have been using this washer for a while now and I am so pleased with its performance. It has plenty of room for large loads and it gets my clothes clean with ease. I am so glad I made the investment.

I'm a old fashioned type appliance person. So when it was time to replace my washing machine, I knew just the place I wanted to get it. The price was great, and merchandise was just my kind. Very happy I did make this purchase. Very happy with my machine. It definitely BEATS going to a coin laundry building every week to do laundry.

I really like this washer. It was purchased when my front loader needed to be replaced. I wanted a top loader with an agitator. It does a good job cleaning. The only complaint I have is bulky loads cause balancing issues then the items will not spin dry.

My husband purchased this washing machine in late July 2020. It replaced our 15 year old machine that wouldn't complete the wash cycle. This machine is makes a little noise during the wash cycle but otherwise I love it!

This washer handles heavy loads with ease. Finally no more complaints from my wife. Now she loves it more than me.

So far I'm very pleased with our new washing machine. It has all the necessay options for each type of load and it's easy to figure out how to set it. Also, it has more capacity for larger loads than I expected. Great value for the price.

I love all the features and it is easy to operate it will even do the precise fill if you are unsure of the water level put it on that feature take the guesswork out of the equation. No water left in clothes spin without a lot of wrinkles in your clothes.
