After my workhorse 27 yr old Heavy Duty Kenmore washer finally bit the dust after getting off balance, my gut feeling after reading hundreds of reviews, was to get the GE washer model that was not He, no electronics, had an agitator and ability to control water level. (# GTW465ASNWW). When I went to purchase it, Best Buy was having a $205 off sale on this model that put it cheaper than the one I was going to buy, so I thought, why not? It is a beautiful washer. I love the gray color, the window in the top is fun to monitor what is going on and the modern look to it. The electronics if you are into that sort of thing show how much time is left in the cycle and where it is in the cycle lights up as it goes along. That part is kind of fun to use. Very easy to understand. For those who aren't thrilled with a lid lock, it has a pause button and the lid will unlock so you can add something and then you can unpause and it locks and resumes. My disappointment is with the water level. Even with the deep fill option there is not enough water added to wash out all soap (I use He Tide pods so I am not putting in too much). I would prefer a water level above the amount of clothes being washed. The picture attached is a load with additional deep fill just for reference. There is 12" from the water to the top of the basket. You put your clothes in, select the type of laundry ( normal, sheets/towels, casuals, delicate, jeans etc) and then the washer releases the soap pod and spins it to "sense" it. That's how it determines how much water to add but so far the most I've seen in this very deep basket (I have to stand on my tip toes to reach the bottom) is about 6-8" of water. On the normal clothes cycle and later the sheets/towels cycle some pieces were still barely above the water when it started. Also the 800rpm spin (no ability to adjust this except to select no spin) is a bit over the top, you'd swear it's going to take off. I am not sure how this will affect wear and tear on the clothes over the long run. It just seems a bit aggressive. Seeing white laundry soap lines on some of my dark clothes was disappointing. The aggitator is better than not having one but it really just swishes clothes back and forth. My Kenmore had a triple action that went up and down and sideways and it aggitated the clothes. I watched and the clothes eventualy make it down and around so it must cycle them somehow. I'm not loving my choice of this machine and thinking twice about the other one, but I'm willing to give it a chance. I'll keep tweaking and hopefully I can get my laundry to look and smell clean. I was hoping to be wowed but not so far. Not loving it but not hating it either. On another note, when Best Buy says it will install it, be sure to ask what that entails. We didn't have the drain they were used to, so they just delivered it and said we had to hire a plumber to complete it.

This washer is brilliant. It's quiet, vs our previous Whirlpool which sounded like a truck. This GE has wonderful digital control panel that lights up, easy to work. Clothes are clean; the center post agitator makes common sense and works great. This is a 5 star wonderful product. I'd recommend to our adult kids and to any family who's looking for top machine!

I have read a lot of mix reviews from a LOT of different websites and YouTube and I am happy to say the positive ones were right. I wanted a washer with an agitator (this one has dual). You have to remember since it is a dual that when using smaller level of water the bottom agitator is what will move the clothes the most every wash small load or large. I really like the deep fill option. People have to remember that push it one it will add 3 gallons at a time or hold it for 3 seconds and it will max out the water level (it won't fill the tub full--it is a large tub that would be a LOT of water). Plus HE even with agitator isn't like the old machines but I had no interest in front loader or top machine without agitator. Some cycles don't allow you to use the deep fill option but i am okay with that I change the option I am using. Great that you can change options while going through the process. People complained that the lid locks was an issue but for me not (it only locks when in middle of running for protection but it has a pause button so you can throw in a missed piece of clothes). One thing I would recommend is people give the machine time to learn all the options and read the manual to understand everything.

It is a beautiful set. I like that it actually has a drawer for soap, softener and pods, because the washer I bought right before this had none if those! Kinda a few too many settings to choose from for my liking but that's ok. So far it has washed good and the clothes smell great. The main thing that I don't like is the lack of water. You have to choose the setting for deeper water each time otherwise when you look in to the washer, it looks like there is no water in the drum whatsoever. I wish the lid was a soft close. It doesn't necessarily slam, but it isn't a soft close. I feel if you are short you will have a hard time reaching to the bottom of the drum. Im 5'7 and I just reach it. It really is nice, i just wanted something less digital but based on the size we could get and wanting a soap dispenser this was our option.

I absolutely love this washer! It gets the job done for sure. It's very easy to operate and the charcoal color looks very nice in my laundry room.

It washes really well with the agitator. I would recommend this washer. It is different then past ones with all the fancey gadgets. Took a little bit to get used to it all.

This is THEE WORST washing machine I have ever used. It ook 6 hours to wash a blanket! It always says that it is leveling, continues to fill, drain, and refill with water due to off balance spinning....JUST HORRIBLE! I feel like I have throw my money down the drain. I am too late to return it because my brain radiation schedule has had me so wiped out to give it any attention, plus COVID. I would not recommend this to ANYONE! EVER! I actually removed the soaking wet clothes, placed them in my old washer to spin while holding the drain hose over the sink by hand. That's how desperate I was. Please pray for my health and sanity. This feels like a purchased punishment.

I love my washer. Lots of space. My favorite feature is knowing the time for each cycle. There is no guessing or estimating. I love the clear glass. It give you the front load feel with top load. The large size allows you put more in and cut your loads in half.

I was a little afraid of it being a different team than the one I was used to but since I used it I love it, I am looking forward to my new washing machine equipment and I recommend it to anyone because it is the best investment we have made

Replaced 14yr old washer with this unit. The settings took a few loads to dial in, but once we did we found the clothes to be much cleaner and very dry after the spin cycle resulting in much shorter drying times. After a few runs, we became familiar with the "normal" sounds that this machine makes as is goes thru its various cycles. We noticed that some people were complaining about the water levels that are automatically determined by the machine; the simple remedy for that is a button that requires one touch to add 3 gallons or holding the button down for a maximum fill. The settings are very customizable and easy to dial in. We are extremely pleased with this machine. Additionally, the pods work great and we are even using the generic ones from Sams.

I like this unit and it can hold a lot. The only downside is it doesn't always balance so I have to pull wet towels out and try to even it.

The numbers and lights make everything easy to see, to setup and to use. The cycles are quick and everything comes out clean. I also like the ability to put Tide Pods/Gain Flings or regular liquid detergent in the tray for it. I really love this washer. It looks and functions great.

It cleans the clothes well and has endless options for wash cycles. Deep fill option seems to work for me. It sometimes gets out of balance during spin cycle, requires me to adjust the clothes. But I love it and would recommend it highly
