Works great, just wish the temp control was more precise and had a temp reading on the outside, but I'm sure that would require a better model. It truly does the job, but we're in winter, so we'll see what happens in the summer.

It's not your typical frost-free appliance, so there is no air circulation to keep temperatures even. It's the walls that generate the freezing temp. You will have variations from bottom to top. Found that out by placing zip-locks of homemade chicken broth near the top. Next day still liquid or partially frozen. I move them down a few inches under other items, then they froze right up. Not really a complaint, just a limitation in the design. It does the job.

It's a great little chest freezer. (5 cubic feet) This would be perfect for one person, a small apartment or small space. GE is a very good brand. I did however return this freezer because I ended up needing a 7 cubic foot freezer. I had the chance to use the freezer for 2 weeks until the new one came in. Worked great. Highly recommend it.

Good sized freezer for family of 4. However, we received it with a dent in the front. It didn’t affected its performance so we kept it.

So far seem to be very good. I used them in my apartment building.

The freezer is deep and has plenty of storage space. The temperature adjusts easily and the top can be opened with side grips. We also like the storage shelf as well as the basket which can be used to reach frequently purchased items. It was a good purchase definitely worth the cost.

Quite, at min. temp. it stays at 8 degrees. Haven't received my energy bill yet, but it has to be better than our old 30 freezer.

I only had the freezer for a month. So far good. Very quiet operation and fits into a space less than that for a washing machine.

I had 5 -- FIVE -- "different," brand new freezers professionally delivered to me --each one exchanged for the next, when none of them kept food frozen, right out of the gate. These are expensive paperweights and a wealth-stealing racket. The odds are not in our favor. Shame on these companies for knowingly slapping their brand names on total crap, which going straight to the dump (GE won't even repair these freezers, and GE will not refund your money, if/when you find yourself out of the Best Buy exchange/refund window of 15 days--you will get a voucher for another GE paperweight) -- and shame on Best Buy for knowingly selling junk to their customers, while destroying the planet at an even more remarkable clip than usual.

The freezer is a great size for a garage when your fridge is overwhelmed.

Seemed liked a good freezer, but after a year and a half quit completely for no apprent reason....and not worth trying to repair with all the rotten meat in it

The freezer is working fine. It is easy to open and close. Storage space is sufficient for my needs and to date, there is no frost buildup inside. I hope this will be true two or three years from today

The freezer guy cold right away but I gave it abt 20 hours before putting any food items in it. Makes no noise.

5 cubic feet doesn’t sound like much until you start loading it with frozen goods :)

It’s a dud it doesn’t work it’s a children’s toy! Next time send the easy bake oven to go with it!
