Q: Do the knobs get in the way of the backburners, if they have a pot/pan on them?

A: The bottom of the knobs is 7 inches above the surface of the cook top.

Q: Can you use cast iron on a smooth top, or would coil be better?

A: Hello Joyce. The type of cookware you use on a smooth cooktop can affect how it performs. Cast Iron cookware is not recommended. If the cookware has a burr or rough spot, it will scratch the glass surface. Additionally, it is slow to absorb heat. Once this type of cookware heats up, especially on high heat, it holds an intense amount of heat which is transferred to the cooktop. This can cause the element to shut down as a response to the temperature limiters which indicate surface temperature is too high for cooktop components to handle. Thanks for checking. Olga

Q: The specs say 4 burner, the pics show 5 burners, which is it?

A: Total of 5: Four burners plus one warmer. The warmer is for keeping food warm only and not for cooking. Hope this helps.

Q: Can this oven be conventional or convection or is it convection only?

A: Yes, this model can be used as a conventional or convection oven.

Q: Can we use cast iron on this stove and oven?

A: Hi Tams- The type of cookware you use on a radiant cooktop can affect how it performs. We recommend using medium or heavy-weight cookware. Flat Bottom pans are essential for good cooking performance since the bottom of the pan needs to touch the glass for the best heat transfer. Porcelain Coated Cast Iron cookware is okay as long as the cookware is covered completely with porcelain enamel. Caution is recommended when using cast iron cookware that is not completely covered with smooth porcelain enamel, as it may scratch the glass ceramic cooktop. Q: Does this range have a drawer in the bottom ?

A: Yes. We use it for 3pots and 3 skillet.

Q: Is the stainless finish fingerprint resistant/smudge proof?

A: Hi Janiee - The stainless steel finish is not fingerprint resistant. It is also available in our smudge-proof (fingerprint resistant) Slate finish- JB655EKES. Q: The power cord for the stove I see you'll say replacement for the stove is recommended so do you take the cord from the old store to buy a new one so you get the right one since everyone has different ppl lug ins ??? Help please

A: Hello PHbird. Thank you for asking your question about a power cord needed for your range. You need either a 3 or 4 prong range power cord. You can take your old cord to the store as that will help them. This model requires a 40 amp breaker for 240 volts. Hope this helps. Geoff@GEA
