I am so happy with the purchase of my new washer and dry set best set I have bought yet love the deep tub in the washer and the he way it fills up when you open the lid the water doesn’t stop filling and I can wash out my liquid cup other than my old one and the power wash is super awesome for cleaning had stain cloths.

Dryer is simple and easy to use. Plenty of room and gets clothes dry in minimal time. Happy with my purchase.

This GE dryer is ideal for large quantities of clothes, minimizing the number of use of the dryer, I can do 1 decade for every 2 washing machines of little clothes. It's easy to install.

Strings from clothing keep getting caught in a space between the drum and the inside of the dryer. This has happened three times since we purchased this dryer 2 months ago.

Delivery & Exchange Nightmare I purchased this unit new, but it arrived with a noticeable dent on the door. Best Buy eventually did the exchange, but the process was a huge hassle. Their return and exchange policy was completely different from what customer service had described, which caused a major headache and unnecessary delays. Product Performance The Replacement Works Well: Once the new, undamaged dryer was installed, it has worked perfectly. Effective Drying: Clothes dry quickly and efficiently. It handles large loads easily, matching the capacity of the washer. Simple Controls: The controls are straightforward and easy to use. Bottom Line: The GE GTD48EASWWB is a good, powerful dryer with no issues. The low rating is strictly due to the terrible delivery and exchange experience from the retailer. If you get a working unit the first time, you'll be happy with the performance.

I purchased this dryer to match the washer that we have and to replace our 15 year old dryer. Overall, the capacity is nice. The clothes dry much fast and on a lower heat. I did the install myself. If you’re handy, it’s quite easy. Delivery went as planned and was quick and efficient. One note: the buzzer. It’s loud and jarring. I’ve never heard something so loud as that buzzer. On our old unit, you could switch it off. This one you cannot. That said, I found a YouTube video showing how to disable it permanently. https://youtu.be/DtCT9AVrCO0 Besides the buzzer, it’s a great unit. Durable so far as does the job.

Easy install. Thankfully I had the plug on hand from hurricane prep. CON is the buzzer!!! Loud & long, so no late night drying unless you want the crap scared out of you! Used the more/less mode as well as timed and both work great & effectively. Lint trap sticks a bit when trying to pull out. Plugged in & 3 back to back loads w/no issue...another 3 loads the next day and all good. Would recommend, except for that buzzer!!

The dryer is quite and very efficient. The capacity is much larger than expected and easily fits a kings size comforter. Very satisficed with this purchase.

It dries clothes very well. Straight forward and easy to use. I love the adjustable volume option. I debated about getting this particular model: due to other reviewers complaining about the loudness of the buzzer. It indeed: can be loud: but the buzzer's volume level is totally adjustable! I love the tumble feature. I can remove debris from my jeans. Such as dust and lint. Over all: it's a great dryer: no complaints at all!

I bought this dryer to replace a larger, fancier dryer that always took forever to dry. This GE has a smaller footprint and dries much faster than our previous dryer. I have a king comforter that fit fine in this dryer.

We are very happy with this purchase so far. It operates very quietly. There is tons of room for clothes. We have already dried a thick comforter, and it was fast! Having the lint filter accessible when opening the door is nice, as our last dryer had the filter on top of the unit, which tended to allow things to fall in.

This dryer has large capacity and is quick to dry clothes even on medium heat. It isn't as smart as my old GE dryer, because it does not sense that the clothes are dry, so I use my kitchen timer to remind me when to check to see that the clothes are dry.
