This dryer replaced a 10 year old LG that quit on us. We really like the size and digital controls. The LG had manual timer knob which was starting to wear out. It's also much quieter than the old dryer which had developed a squeak. As far as drying speed goes, my wife says this one is faster than the old one. The wifi features are somewhat disappointing. The app does notify us when the drying cycle is nearing completion and when it finishes. However, I was sort of expecting to be able to make changes from the app(start, stop, change cycle, change heat) but in actuality the only thing you can do is view the current cycle, and stop it. You can set up a delayed start on the dryer and then as long as the door isn't opened, start it later from the app. I understand the safety reasons behind these decisions, but I don't see when we would ever need to delay the dryer and start it later remotely. I would maybe dock half a star for not being able to change the heat level or tumble speed from the app, though I don't know if any other dryer offers that either. I would also note that there was a small dent on the back of it, that I didn't notice until I got it home which is an hour away from the store. This would be more of a Best Buy issue than a GE issue. I didn't return it because of the hassle, and it doesn't seem to affect the performance but it's disappointing none the less. On the plus side there was an energy star rebate for this dryer which will offset the costs a little. Time will tell how long it lasts but it feels like a solid product.

I bought the stackable kit washer and dryer. I found them to be VERY easy to use and VERY well built. I first bought the higher end model with internet connectivity and found that system to work well for my home application. One months later I bought the more stripped down version for my guest house and ran about 30 loads of bedding and such through it and was equally impressed. It doesn’t take the large amount of laundry soap like the other one but that was what we needed in that area anyway. We fill detergent from load to load.

This dryer has been working out well for us. Clothes come out dry and ready to go without any issues. Just like the washer, I love that it connects to my phone so I can check how much time is left without walking over to the laundry room. The notifications are honestly one of the best features because I used to leave clothes sitting in there way longer than I should have. Now I get an alert and can actually fold them while they're still warm. Happy with the purchase.

We replaced our washer and dryer with a GE set, so we have the matching washer. The dryer is exceptional. While the dryer we just replaced was a modern dryer, it did't do the one thing a dryer should do well, which is dry clothes. Not so with the GE 7.8 CuFt dryer. It dries our clothes in half the time of our previous dryer. And it's much quieter while doing a better job. We can also dry larger loads of laundry, which is great and will save electricity. All in all, we're very pleased with this dryer from GE. It's well made, looks great and should provide years of excellent clothes drying service.

Im absolutely in LOVE with this Dryer! I also have the matching washer. My set is also on Pedestals I highly recommended on getting Pedestals saves your back from stooping. Also I was made aware that this dryer and washer are very very heavy have it installed makes life 110% better! It drys very efficiently and is super quite, the only way I hear it is if I am standing near it. I do have 2 cons- CON #1 its power/selection/dry alert sound could be a tad louder I have the loudest it will go and couldn't tell you if its dry or not from my living room,because irs upstairs. CON #2 the lint trap I pictured it closed as well as open if you have rough hands or littles helping with the laundy it is very flimsy and I could see it breaking without much force.

I love my dryer it works great and it leaves my clothes very nice I’m very happy I purchased them yes I got the set I would purchase again

This dryer has everything! I'm bad about getting my close out as soon as the dryer stops, so I love that it has wrinkle care. My clothes are never wrinkled. It is large enough for me to dry my king-sized comforters. I am happy that the lint trap is located on the door opening and not on the top of the dryer. My last dryer had the lint trap on top and found that I absolutely hated the mess it created. I don't use the Wi-Fi feature, but like that it has it because my husband finally took an interest in clothes drying ;)

This GE dryer is unbelievable. It tries a full load of clothes in less than 30 minutes.. It’s very energy efficient. I highly recommend this product. I looked at all other brands LG, Samsung, whirlpool. Although they’re all great brands this one I think is the best. At a very good price. It’s user-friendly too.

Excellent dryer with very large capacity. My only negative, it’s a little on the pricier side, but worth the purchase if it’s in your budget. Also these appliances are very large & tall, so if you stack them, you may find operating the top appliance might be out of your reach, if you are on the shorter side. My wife asked me to un-stack. To the best of my knowledge I purchased the matching dryer (GFW550SSNWW) and in my opinion the dryer door should have a metal ring to match the look of washer.

Blocked vent light stays on after 1 week purchase. The dryer is performing well but after cleaning our vent and moving into a new place the vent iOS not blocked!!

Love it! Dries quickly and completely. The filter is a head scratcher, why a folding filter?Its somewhat annoying to have to open to clean but not a huge deal. The tabs haven’t broken as some reviews have experienced, but I don’t see how it would be a big deal if they did. It would still hold together without them. A little loud, just like the washer, but I think that’s because of how the pedestal attaches. There is a gap which allows more sound out into the room. Bad design GE. It should sit flush like every other pedestal on earth does.

This is such a great dryer that I feel it's waster on our household loads. It has so much space that we rarely seem to fill it and everything always dries evenly without too much static.

Great looking dryer, its big, and it has many features. It's wifi capable. I can control from my mobile app. Loved it.

I have had my washer and dryer for over a month and I absolutely love this washer and dryer set I bought with the stacking accessory. This GE set is great quality and I love the fact that I can control my washer and dryer with an app. My husband and I were able to put everything together ourselves and had no problem. NOTE: the dryer does not come with the wiring to plug it in. I was not told by Best Buy that it did not come with that. I was only told if I used the delivery guys that it would be an additional price of $100+ and I was not about to spend that if we could do it ourselves. Other than that everything with this washer and dryer is great and I have no complaints!

Works as advertised. Nice unit with easy controls. The unit heats well and dries with little sound. Quiet and efficient.

I bought this dryer because my older model he dryer finally kick the bucket and I wanted it to match my wash so I purchased this one in which I love it. I can connect it to WiFi and Alexa app and I can use the ge app to check on my appliances.

Great dryer! Quiet, dependable! Great big storage.

Great product and the gentlemen who delivered it was great. They followed our delivery instructions perfectly. The only issue is the dryer doesn’t sit flush against wall so there’s a huge 3ft gap between wall and dryer which is really annoying (see photos)

Love this dryer, it can dry a packed full load pretty quickly, so far very happy with it
