Yes, it is nice looking and complements the built-in microwave, but, it is also not nearly as sturdy as its predecessor of 10 years ago. It is easily damaged during installation.

Pricey but necessary. Measure your opening first and ensure it is rectangular. Note, there are two sizes of trim bezels available, 27" and 30". The trim slides on past the outer edges of the microwave so you need 3/4" in addition to the microwave width. The vents are on the top and sides so the trim does not sit flush, it is out about 3/8" from the cabinet but even with the microwave face. Kinda pretty, just different and we have no other options.

I had to perform surgery on the back side of this thing to get the screw holes to line up and for it to fit flush with my cabinet facing. Way overpriced for what it is.

GE white trim kit for microwave fits well to replace a GE from 2002, so great! Especially since the color white is hard to find any more.

Trim kit for GE Microwave

Fits my new, beautiful microwave perfectly. It was hard for me to know which trim kit to buy, but the helpful Best Buy people said it would fit and GE support confirmed. We had to (electric) saw away about an inch row of wood from the cabinet area for this “built-in” but would have had to do this for most new models. Vents are around the edge. This was hard to see in the pictures, All good.

good product, but I don't care for the looks as much as my old one (also GE, ca 2003). although looks are a matter of taste, it was also more complicated and difficult to install than one would be led to believe. and if the microwave ever needs to come out, will be more difficult to remove & handle as well.

You did not install this item. You measured which wasn't requested at the time of purchase. Now there is a big hole where the microwave does not fit. WHEN ARE YOU COMING TO INSTALL THE MISSING PART?
