Beautiful cooktop. Very elegant looking in my island. Love all the features. Very happy with my purchase. Easy to install.

Self install to replace old one was very easy - just drop it in to the counter and match the wires. We thought it was a nice design that would give us more burners, but actually after using it for a couple months we now effectively only have one large burner and four smaller ones. Also, the knobs right on the cooktop surface make it a bit annoying to clean between the knobs. In the end, we should have probably purchased a standard four burner cooktop.

We have had this about a year. It sits above the counter and somehow the back left corner cracked. The hob has scratches on it and doesn't clean up well despite us using the product that GE recommends. For the price of this I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Other than that the functionality is pretty good but its a bit too easy to accidentally turn it on.

Hate the knobs they are not clean effective...had the touch panel prior. Doesn't come up to broil as quickly either.

Love this cooktop. Versatility and placement of burners is a plus. Heats up quickly. Easy to use the digital controls. Only thing I need to get used to is that the controls beep at you when you inadvertently put something on it (like lay a pot over the control or wipe over it while cleaning)…just something to get used to.

I replaced an older GE profile 30 inch radiant electric cooktop. As advertised, the replacement fit the cut-out in our corian countertop perfectly. We purchased installation service and removeal for our broken cooktop. The installers arrived early (a surprise) and completed the work quickly (less than 30 minutes. This cooktop has 5 burners rather than the usual 4. Two have power boil - which if you have never used is a delightfully quick way to bring a large pot of water to a boil. It also has a bridged element, but we haven't used that yet. The only negative is the shiny glass surface. As with most glass cooktops with a smooth surface it takes attention to keep it looking clean. I am excited by the metal front an rear edge. Someone dropped something on the edge of our last cooktop and it broke the glass. I think the metal edges not only look good but will help keep the glass from getting chipped or broken. We were concerned that the front knobs would get in the way, but they do not. All in all very happy with the cooktop and the installation service.

We were dazzled by the extra feature of the expensive cooktops but this one was the one for us. It's 4 steps up from a traditional stove top. Easy to clean, the knobs come off and are easy to replace and are dishwasher safe. We went with knobs because electric touch controls are likely to give out sooner. We're satisfied with the product we have.

Easy installation, nice sleek design. I love the cooktop and it helps give my kitchen an updated look. Love the power boil option. Easy to clean after using.

Great looking smooth cooktop. This GE replaced our 13y old JennAir. Very fast elements when combined with calphalon pots and pans. Like the integrated timer. Harder to clean the glass compared to the old unit we used to have. Still happy. This unit is deep, make sure you have ample of room to install.

I am happy with the cooktop, it looks great on my new kitchen, my cons is that it dies not stay very very close to the countertop. I bought online so I can't tell how the store display shows it . Also my contractor use a base cabinet for the wall oven/cooktop combination it did not work he had to make the bottom a little lower to make it fit.

I really loved this cooktop when it was first installed. Our previous GE cooktop was 20+ years old and still worked great, but we needed to replace our oven so we bought this cooktop to match. In retrospect, I wish we would have looked for one with manual controls instead of a touchpad, but this is what was readily available. It scratches easy, and has a finicky habit of accidentally turning on burners. Those issues are tolerable, but a month after it was installed, the touchpad stopped working completely. Just nothing. Dead. When we called GE around Nov 20th for service, they scheduled someone to come out and look at it on December 16. Thats almost 4 weeks without a working range for my large family. I couldn’t use my BRAND NEW cooktop to cook Thanksgiving dinner this year. It was rather disappointing. Overall, when it works, it works well, but the control panel is way too sensitive and fragile. There is no reason it should have stopped working after just a month, and it shouldn’t take GE 4 weeks to service a product still under warranty.

Since this is a product review, I give it 5 stars, because I love this cooktop. It is modern, clean-looking, and easy to use. You just need to be careful of how you clean it not to scratch it. However, the installation was awful. Best Buy uses third-party installers. They left everything dirty and tried to do everything fast. One of the installers seemed to be a helper and was totally clueless. Without asking, he went to the electrical box and just started switching breakers, even though everything is labeled. I had to bring them towels so that they could work on the countertop. When they were done, they picked up some of the dirt with their hands and bolted out of the house.

Recently replaced original Jenn-Aire cooktop with GE Profile electric cooktop. The GE is sleek and modern, lower profile so more room. It heats up and cools down quickly. Love the safety device of being able to lock dials so young grandchildren cannot accidentally turn on cooktop. Easy cleanup. Have used variety of pots and pans, from cast iron to stainless.

This is a fabulous cooktop that cooks very well for everything we eat. I love all the different settings on the knobs. I clean it obsessively but it still developed spots rather quickly and it scratches during normal use. It's also difficult to clean around the knobs, which are sturdy and very heavy-duty.

This cooktop design looks really stylish! I have had it for 3 months now and it works great! Has an alarm in case you lock controls and someone try to use it, you have several options to use just the amount of heat that you need. The griddle functionality comes in handy

Love the fact the cooktop has no dials that take up space. It looks amazing in my island and heats up food quickly and beautifully. The lock feature is great just in case you place something on the sensor and accidentally turn cooktop on. Gives you peace of mind.

Looks great. The middle burner is large and does the job.

Cooktop is nice but really hard to kerp clean around the knobs. Our previous cooktop was digital and was much easier to clean. This one smears a bunch. It works great and has nice features and the knobs light when you set them but if you are as obsessed with a perfect lot clean cooktop as I am, you will spend time giving it a full cleaning every time you use it (removing all of the knobs).

Love it! Just a little hard to keep clean, but would not trade it in!
