This compilation has a greater number of classic Genesis games than previous console compilations, but a few things might give you pause: * The main menu is clunky and slow, and completely unnecessary. Set in a pre-rendered early-90's teenager's game room, you'll have to slowly navigate from the TV to the Genesis, or to the window, or to the stereo, or finally to the bookshelves where the games reside. * Once you get to the games on the shelf, you can only see the box spines. Who wants to just look at the box spines? Give us the front cover box art! * And there lights affixed to the shelves, which means any of the box spines not directly under a light are almost completely black and illegible. Seriously? * As for the emulation, it's pretty good. The audio sounds off in places, but it is notoriously hard to properly emulate Genesis sound. The only major gripe with the emulation is with the fast-forward and rewind functionality, which is accompanied with an ugly 80's/90's VCR vertical hold filter - that you cannot turn off! If you can look past these shortcomings, I would recommend this collection.

Pretty good collection of genesis games. The genesis was the console that got me into gaming so I had to pick this up. I haven't played every game, but for $30 this is a steal! I immediately went to shinobi 3 and was finally able to beat it with the help of the rewind button. This rewind and fast-forward button is a game changer. Some of these retro games can be difficult, causing you to want to throw your controller or smash your console, but not anymore!!! hahahah...........It makes the games feel more fresh and accessible for younger gamers, who perhaps didn't grow up with these games. I had to knock a star off because the emulation isn't perfect, although it is pretty smooth for the most part.

What a great find! All the classics plus some fun hard to finds, Shining Force I & II is what I bought it for, but bonus all Phantasy Stars plus all the Sonics, Golden Axe, and others! Set the nostalgia machine to way back and break off the nob!

Excellent price and has over 50 games! Now my kids can grow up with the classics I did. It has both Toe Jam and Earl games, which was my favorite! Would recommend buying this to anyone who loves all the classic Sega games.

Such a great deal for like 50+ games. If you like your old school Sega games then get this for sure. This is a way better way to play all these games instead of the Sega Genesis Classic. It’s also cheaper.

This has been released numerous other places already, but if you don't have it, this collection really scratches the itch of old-school Sega Genesis games. And for about a dollar each, that's a great deal.

The Sega Genesis Classics is a good game it does what it's advertised however I'm a true old-school gamer and I realize really hoping to hear the old crappy Sega Genesis audio sounds like the original the sound board bake a sound card is an upgraded version so you don't actually get the actual Sega Genesis sound but overall the games were good it was fun to play old games with my my buddy we had a great time passing through the old games there's a lot of games so that should have a lot of fun in it but again I'm giving it 4 out of 5 just because it's not the best original Sega Genesis sound card it's upgraded but if you're looking for the old school sound card it's not here

I bought this game out of my nostalgia for Sonic 1 & 2. To my surprise, the collection is descent, It included Streets Of Rage, and ESWAT. For the price, this is a must get.

From Sonic to Streets of Rage, you get a lot of bang for your buck. Including a 3D interactive game room instead of a generic menu with the list of titles was a great design choice. Online gameplay is also present for those interested. A few game-changing features are also implemented like a rewind/fast-forward button and being able to customize the TV screen HUD. Only gripe involves the rewind feature being too slow and imprecise to undo significant changes in use.

50 games, cool interface, the trophies and challenges are nice and better than you normal see in retro collections like this. And it's cheap!

There's a lot of great Genesis games on here without the hassle of tracking down original cartridges. Some of the trophies are a little difficult.

This is the best collection if Sega Games all on one disc. So cheap the price and so many countless hours of fun.

This was a great pickup. It feels like you are back in the 90s playing your favorite Sega games. When you go to the opening menu it's set up as a bedroom and you play the games on a 90s tv. You can change background settings, make a game a favorite, and rewind part of the game if you die or miss something important. You are not just picking and playing a game but it gives you that feeling of being a kid again.

Very disappointed in the emulation of this collection. Noticeable lag kills the experience for me.

Lots of games, cool interface. Interesting emulator. Would recommend! Great deal for the price too!

The Genesis is my favorite console growing up, so the library here makes me happy. The ability to have save states is the same as in the PS3 version but the added ability to rewind a few vital seconds is very handy for action games where a split second decision effects a lot. The library is big and misses the blended Sonic3/Kuckles games and some of my personal favorites growing up. Regardless, fun game with even better graphics

If you're a 90s kid like me, this is a great addition to your PS4 (or XBox One) collection. I get to relive RPG classics from my youth like Phantasy Star IV and Shining Force, but also get to play classic coop games like Streets of Rage and Golden Ax over the internet with my friends. While a great collection, I have to take away a star because we did have some connectivity and lag issues with the online play, all on 100 meg Cable connections.
