In Rysum in East Frisia a particularly valuable historical organ has been preserved This unique instrument from the years 1442 and 1513 still has most of it's original pipes. The organist Lorenzo Ghielmi and the Ensemble Biscantores present here a kind of organ mass in which organ pieces and liturgical chant alternate according to the practice of the time. The Italian organist and harpsichordist, Lorenzo Ghielmi, is organist on the Ahrend organ (1991) at the Basilica di San Simpliciano in Milan, where he performed from 1992 to 1994 the complete organ works of J.S. Bach. He gives concerts throughout Europe, Japan and the USA as an organist and harpsichordist. He has made many radio and studio recordings. He plays with his instrumental ensemble La Divina Armonia and in duet with his younger brother Vittorio Ghielmi (viola da gamba and harpsichord). In France, he received the Diapason d'Or for his recordings of Bruhns and Bach. He also played organ & harpsichord in the first recordings of Il Giardino Armonico. Lorenzo Ghielmi, teaches organ, harpsichord and early music at the Milan Accademia Internazionale della Musica.

James Jordan writes InchI suppose as artists we are always searching for metaphors that speak directly to the musics we perform to guide us and inspire. The music on this pushes our boundaries of what could be considered InchnormalInch music making and instead moves us into sound worlds that expand what a choral ensemble can produce. This recording, which documents an almost three-year exploration into improvisation in various forms, contains works for choral ensembles that create new sound worlds in and of themselves. All of the works on this album create Auroras of their own that touch us deeply and cover our senses with streams of light. Hopefully the sounds on this will, as Makoto Fujimura says, Inchbring you outside of yourself, and pull you to look at the [life's] horizon and to see beyond.Inch Album Tracks 1. The Dreams That Remains 2. Interpolations on Sicut Cervus Desiderat 3. O Magnum Mysterium 4. Beatus Vir (Plainchant) 5. Beatus Vir 6. The Last Letter 7. I Shall Not Live in Vain 8. Kyrie from Cantus Missae in E Flat 9. Sanctitude, with Chants and Improvisations 10.
