The first gladiator freezer had faulty rubber sealing and had to be replaced since they couldn't fix the sealing. The replacement gladiator sealing lasted just a little more than one year, so of course any factory warranty is no longer available. Great outwards design, I freaking love to use it, too bad it's absolute garbage in quality.

We didn't buy this for a garage, but for a Florida/3 season room. This is amazing! We had a regular fridge and a chest freezer in there and it wasn't properly utilized space at all. When the freezer in the fridge started going I said I wanted a fridge with out a freezer built in, and a stand up freezer since so many things get lost in the bottom of the chest freezer. Little did I know they are SO EXPENSIVE, for something that is in a room that isnt' even heated or ac? Then I found this and I was instantly in love. Took a while for it to be in stock but it was worth the wait. We bought the fridge and the freezer, and I love that when your hands are full just press the step and the door opens! If you get both units, you will fall in love with the inside door bottom metal bin in the fridge. A bit of advice, if you contact Whirlpool, you can order an extra one of those and it fits perfectly in the freezer. you can easily double the space of the lower door shelf that way! When we showed family pictures of the fridge/freezer they ran out and got them too!

Really cool freezer (no pun intended!) and looks great in the garage! Perfect storage options. A pain to put together, so make sure you have a professional install (I borrowed our handyman to do it and he struggled a bit).

Don't be surprised by the photo. There is only 1 unit. I thought there was 2 based on the photo. Not so. So far though it seems to be functioning properly.

purchased in December 2023, Freezer will not cool in March 2025. The warranty expired 3 months ago. Seems to be a common problem on this freezer. Lost a whole freezer full of meat! Wish I would have done more research.

Gladiator is amazing. I had this brand before and couldn’t be happier. In Bakersfield CA the temps inside the garage can be 120+. This freezer keeps everything at the perfect temp. 100% I would buy again.

Great product! Very spacious! Only downfall, is there is no “lock” or safety.

We like the durability and look for the garage. Price was a bit higher than what we expected but we will see how it works over time.

Foot-opening door gimmick is poorly implemented, causing the freezer to open spontaneously and allowing all your frozen food to spoil. I contacted Frigidaire about this, and the customer service person advised me to partially disassemble the foot actuator and leave it that way to prevent it opening by itself (meaning they already know this problem exists). I followed his instructions, and the foot pedal still causes the freezer to open by itself. JUNK. DO NOT BUY.

One month after the warranty ran out, it will not cool.
