Back to Basics but Focus on Alums
For the final season of Glee, we return to McKinley High for a fresh start of the Glee Club after its dissolution in Season 5. Rachel and Kurt are the new directors, Blaine is restarting The Warblers, and Will is in charge of rival Vocal Adrenaline. And Sue Sylvester is still dominating McKinley. In this short season, we get some of life lessons from music that we used to see in the early seasons, including a wonderful tribute to both Carole King and Alanis Morrisette. New Glee kids are introduced, and although they are talented, the emphasis of the story lines are still focused on the past members of Glee Club. The new kids have very little character development, particularly compared to that done with the kids in the first two seasons. But the music continues to excite, and the tension in preparing for Sectionals and the continued survival of the Glee Club is still present. The finale is a storybook ending of Where Will They Be, but the final performance is very satisfying and includes almost every major character from the entire series.

Terrific end for a sensational, original series!!
Glee has been a one of a kind, clever & inspirational series that has dealt with many concerns & issues that pertain to many lives in both adults & kids. They have also set these issues to music & extremely smart dialog. Season 6 has been a great ending to such an important & entertaining series. I've been a huge Glee fan since episode 1 and am sad to see it go but they did fantastically. The Glee series was built from a lot of talent, heart & smarts and I'll be watching these DVDs for years to come!! The series may be over but it'll live on in my living room!! What can I say? I'm a Gleek.
