If you liked Wii Sports Resort, you will like this game. There are more activities to do along with treasure hunting in each of the areas.

For those not familiar, Go Vacation is an enhanced port from a 2011 game for the Nintendo Wii. At first glance, it looks like a ripoff of Wii Sports Resort, but it offers different activities and a slightly more deeper gamepay experience. But because it is from the Wii era, motion controls are virtually forced in some activities, especially in the opening tutorials, despite being able to play using the Pro Controller and in handheld mode. The graphics are also straight fro the Wii game, and you can use your Mii as well. Some missing sports kind of further sour the experience, but with no Wii Sports game on the Switch as of yet, this game is a decent substitute.

If you like Mii games then this is a strong recommend, especially if you never played the original. The minigames are fun, but exploring the island in free roam is where the game really shines. The only real drawbacks are the clunky controls and that each menu requires a loading screen which really slows down gameplay. If you can get past these issues, there is a fun time here.

This is the closest game to wii sports resort you’ll get on the switch. It’s not the same but it’s still a great deal of fun! I’ve been through all the islands and designed my villa and I still don’t get bored of playing most of the mini games!

In my opinion, it doesn't quite nail the Wii Sports Resort vibe that it seems to be going for, but it's still an OK game. I think it could especially be good for the younger audience out there, but it didn't quite grab me the way I had hoped.

I have a group of friends I get together with for "Weekends of Fun". We are all 20+ year old gamers with me being the oldest at 40. We picked up Go Vacation for our Weekend of Fun for this weekend. We played the game for well over 10 hours earning almost all of the stamps across the different areas. The mini games are varied and can range from something as simple as pushing one button, to trying to do crazy tricks on a skateboard/surfboard/skates with different button and controller shake combinations. This is a great family/party game. 4 stars due to the fact that some of the mini games are so basic that it makes you just wanna skip those game. Definitely grab this to hold you over until the new Mario Party comes out.

We've just dug into Go Vacation a few times but the family doesn't seem to want to stop. So many different types of sports and activities it would be hard to get bored. Overall fun game.

Go Vacation was originally made for Wii and the graphics do look a bit dated at times but 4 player action more than makes up for it. There are a few mini games that are passable but most of them are great first time through.

I fw the game I've been trying to get it ever since I couldn't play it on the switch
I bought this digital product for my new Nintendo Switch, it looks fun to play. I can't wait to use it. It was at a very good price.

I bought this to play with my wife. It’s really easy and not much of a challenge. Gameplay and controls are kinda wonky.

We - like many people - had the Wii and loved the Wii Resort game. I thought it was insane that the Switch didn't have anything like it. Found this game and decided to give it a try. My kids love it and it's about as close to the Resort game as you can get on the Switch. Very similar gameplay and style. Would recommend.

My husband wanted this so we could play it together. Tons of different activities to do, but they do sort of start melding together. Many of them are the same thing with a different skin.

This game is essentially an open world Wii Sports, feels like the sequel to Wii Sports Resort in many ways. It’s fun traveling around and unlocking new mini games, the quality of which might be my only complaint. Many are excellent and match the Wii Sports type vibe the game gives off, others are subpar, playable but not something I’ll really go back to. If you like mini game compilations though I recommend this.

This became one of my son's favorite games. Perfect family game although people expecting wii sports style might get a bit disappointed. But the resorts are huge and have so many activities and mini games to play.
