Gods and Generals - Extended Director's

American War Generals is the story of how the Army's withdrawal from Vietnam shaped America's future wars and the generals who fought them. "We think if we go to war we automatically win," General Stanley McChrystal tells us. "I realized in the summer of 2005 that we were in a very difficult in Iraq and there was every possibility we could lose." In this two hour special, America's leading combat generals talk about how the spent their careers training to fight a conventional enemy like the Soviet Union, with tanks, clear frontlines and an enemy in uniform, but then found themselves bogged down fighting guerilla wars in Iraq and Afghanistan after 9/11- the very type of war the Army hoped it would never fight again after Vietnam.

Industrialist Cornelis van Doorn (Kees Brusse) got so filthy rich because he wasted nothing... as demonstrated by how he turned the animal hormone waste from his slaughterhouses into a side business of birth control pills. The time came, though, when he had to choose a successor from amongst his kids, legitimate or otherwise-and the only competent candidate (Rudolf Lucieer) was cursed with ethics. Sexy satire co-stars Andrea Domburg, Hugo Metsers, Sonja Barend. 107 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack Dutch; Subtitles English; audio commentary; bonus short InchFestival of LoveInch (1969); image gallery; theatrical trailers. In Dutch with English subtitles.
