Customer Ratings & Reviews

The Nest thermostat is an essential piece for any modern home. Its sleek design seamlessly integrates into any environment while offering intelligent functionality that truly makes a difference. One of its standout features is its ability to learn your heating and cooling preferences, meaning it adjusts automatically over time to keep your home comfortable while saving energy. The intuitive and user-friendly interface allows you to control the thermostat from anywhere via the mobile app, meaning you can adjust the temperature even when you're not at home. Additionally, its compatibility with voice assistants like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa adds an extra layer of convenience and accessibility. Another plus is its ability to integrate with other smart devices in your home, allowing you to create a complete automation ecosystem tailored to your lifestyle. From presence detection to programmable schedules, the Nest thermostat truly puts control of your comfort in your hands. While some people have reported connectivity issues or compatibility with older HVAC systems, overall, the Nest thermostat offers an exceptional experience worth considering for any modern home. With its combination of style, intelligent functionality, and energy savings, it's an investment you're sure to enjoy for many years to come.

I transitioned to this model from a previous generation of learning theromostat. While the features are comparable, you can definitely notice the difference in feeling between this and the more expensive model. The most noticable difference is not being able to turn the outside of the unit as you would a more traditional thermostat. It took a bit of getting used to in terms of navigating the settings on the device without the ability to "turn the dial". Once you get it there isn't much of an issue. Outside of that one thing the unit is solid. I wanted the unit in black but Best Buy didn't have that option. I realized after purchasing that the big box home improvement stores do, so that might be a better option for more color options. The previous model used to include the trim plate, but this one does not. If you're not handy to patch and paint a wall, be prepared to have the trim plate prior to the start the install especially if you're unable to match the same paint you currently have on your wall. I appreciate being able to have HVAC on a set schedule which helps keep costs down, while helping to keep the temperature comfortable.

Note: I got this open box for only $37. At that price point this thing is great! Super easy to install and works flawlessly. For full price? Id say it leaves a lot to be desired. No cover included is really bad - although I just 3d printed my own; thats not something everyone has. Its a thermostat - nothing crazy.

I love it! I went to Best Buy looking for something in particular and when I saw this Nest thermostat it was impressive. The look of it and how it works and I love that I can control it from my phone anywhere and anytime.

If you're away from home often like I am, this Nest thermostat is a game-changer. It handles things automatically and efficiently, looks great, and gives you full control wherever you are. Definitely recommend it over Ecobee for travelers, commuters, or anyone who’s not home much.

The Nest thermostat worked just as the advertisement stated it would. The install was so simple, I kick myself even now for not installing years ago! Perfect for older condos and homes, don't forget the Google Home app is the key to unlock this genius device.

Great product for the price you pay especially if you can get it at a promotion deal. Easy to use and very good features. Very small and fits nicely. Easy to install but set aside 1.5-2 hours. Make sure it is compatible in advance with your system, by checking on google website.

Very easy to install! Many tutorial videos if you're having issues! Easy set up in the app and very easy to monitor when away from home! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Simplicity and design meet. A great thermostat that integrates with the Google Home app. It looks amazing on the wall, and it works perfectly. Setup by my electrician went very quickly, and connecting to the app and setting up wireless connection was a breeze.

Very easy and affordable thermostat, I was out of home for about a month and it was amazing how easy I was able to been monitoring my apartment temp! Love to have control to turn on the heat just before going back home and have a confortable room. I install it by my self and it was very simple, just make sure you turn off the power before the installation.

I recently purchased the Google Nest smart programmable Wi-Fi thermostat and have been impressed with its user-friendly design. Setting it up on the Google Home app for iPhone was a breeze, allowing seamless remote control. The clear screen and intuitive interface enhance the overall user experience. Its sleek design stands out among other smart thermostats. I confidently give it a five-star rating.

Got this to replace a 15 year old thermostat because I wanted to control my thermostat remotely through Google Home. The installation was mostly smooth, except I discovered that my old thermostat's C-Wire was not plugged in on the furnace side after the Home app reported that there was no power on the C-Wire. I was able to get it wired correctly on the furnace and then everything worked fine. I'll also note that I had to plug in a few of the wires on this unit a few times before they were all detected, so it was a little finnicky. This is a simple smart thermostat and doesn't have as many features as the more expensive Nest Thermostat or Ecobee. But, I don't really need any of those features. I just want to change the temperature through Google Assistant. The thermostat was quickly recognised by Google Home and worked flawlessly once I got the wiring issues worked out. I'm not a huge fan of the wall plate that you have to buy at extra cost. It just looks weird how it curves away from the wall. But, it's fine. The Thermostat had a shiny mirror finish to the screen which can have some glare. Also it turns off when you walk away so you can't see the temperature from far away. But you can always just check the Home app on your phone. Overall, this is a fine entry level, simple smart thermostat. I used an energy rebate to get $100 off, so check for that as well.

I didn’t think it was possible to think a thermostat could be soo pretty but it is! We also love the feature when the house gets too cold the heat kicks on or if it gets too hot the AC kicks on so you’re not really having to mess with the thermostat too much! Very satisfied so far with our purchase!

Great option to substitutes your analog thermostat, easy to install, setup and use. The temperature can be set up for heat or cool at different temperatures for different times of the day from the app, and can be controlled, I didn’t like that the base plate does not come included, I would just need to perchase it to cover up the screw holes from my previous thermostat.

Just replaced a thermostat that I loved and I'm probably going to love this one more the only thing that I dislike about it is the heat differential I would like to be able to set it closer I know it would run more but I would stay warmer cuz I'm an old guy and I stay cold..... also bought this so I could turn it on remotely and get the house warm as this is a vacation home works great for that and has the minimum setting of 40°, so the pipes won't freeze.... takes a little getting used to but I think I'm going to love it! It also works with my Nest Home App which has my Nest fire alarm system in it....

Love the thermostat so far. Looks much better than the bulky one that came with the house. The Nest was easy to install and once you get it setup to your schedule you rarely have to touch it. PS check with your local power company for rebates. Mine sent me a $50 credit on my next power bill!

Pretty cool device! I’m glad I got this model and not the most expensive one. This does the job. I can change my temperature from my phone even in the middle of the night without getting out of bed or from the car on the way home from work! It’s easy set up and easy use! I love the graphs it shows of how much energy I used and how much I saved. Very reliable!

Great product!! I purchased 3 of these to replace the older thermostats that came with my house. They are intuitive. Once you learn how to operate them you can see the current temperature, change settings, and even setup routines on the Google Home app. The mirrored finish looks very nice. The display is bright and easily readable as well. The price point is not bad either. I have a Google Nest learning thermostat as well. This one is less complicated, but doesn’t have as many features. Honestly, the features it does have are perfect considering the lower cost. My biggest complaint isn’t with the product, but the app. Google has 2 apps, the Nest app and the Home app. I prefer the Nest app, but these do not work with that one. Oh well. It doesn’t detract from the device itself. Even with that, I give it 5 stars. I will also say, if your HVAC system doesn’t have a dedicated “C” wire, you’ll need to install a transformer to feed the 24 bolts required to charge the batteries. It was super simple for me, but you may need a professional to install this if you are not a fortunate as I was.

Quick to setup, simple and easy to use, easy to use. Huge step up from my 1980's thermostat. I can stay on top of my AC at home remotely, save money when needed and setup schedules. Got it on Black Friday for a steal. Didn't even think twice about it.

I purchase this thermostat to replace a ten year old thermostat. It was able to install this thermostat in less than 10 minutes. It's working perfectly!
