Easy to use, clear video. I had it installed on the side of my townhouse garage so that I could tell when packages are delivered and trash is picked up. Uses an included tool to remove it from its frame for recharging using a USB-C cable. App is simple to use. Goes along with other google Home devices I use. The design is simple and straightforward. Battery usage depends on how much you want it to record. Lets you pick what you want it to make a recording of: people, animals, vehicles (or a combination of these). Announces a bell ring through a google assistant in the home. It's bigger and heavier than I thought it would be from the photos. That's not an issue, but I expected something smaller and less noticeable. A small discreet circle around the buzzer at the bottom lights up when it's recording. I'm not sure my neighbors appreciate the fact that my doorbell lights up and records them every time they walk by with their dog.

Very easy to install, clear video. This is the third one I installed on my house and each one works great!

NOTE FOR APPLE USERS: Google's Nest products don't integrate with Apple HomeKit well. For example, with this Nest Doorbell, you don't be able to see images/videos/streaming from the camera using your MacOS/iOS/iPadOS HOME app. You're forced to use Google's native Home app, which is honestly one extra, unnecessary step. That being said, the camera works perfectly well for its intended purpose. I use it inside an apartment complex to keep an eye out for packages while I travel for work/personal trips. Installation is pretty self explanatory. The item comes with a rubber wedge that you can install prior to mounting the doorbell to give it an angle. Installation is a breeze and I'd recommend having a Google Account ready to go through the process. Battery life purely depends on how often it's being used. Mine goes off multiple times a day for packages and neighbors passing by my door but I can still get a solid 3-4 months (estimate) out of it before having to recharge the device. Camera is equipped a wide-angle (vertical) lens. Picture quality is highly dependent on lighting. Because mine is set in a building hallway with clinically bright lighting, the image quality looks great. Locations with lots of shade (awning/porch cover/poor lighting) may cause some image quality degradation. The AI is smart enough to recognize if it's a person, animal, person with a package, etc. A LOT of features are locked behind the Google subscription paywall. Specifically all-day recording. The standard system can do Live Video streams whenever you like. The video RECORDINGS, on the other hand, are short clips that last for however long the moving object is there. If it doesn't sense anything, nothing is recorded. Full history video recordings of clips only go back 24 hours. The subscription will allow for significantly more (you're paying for server space and access to the videos, essentially). Honestly, I have more gripes about the SOFTWARE more than the HARDWARE. The ONLY issue I have with the hardware is that the way to unmount the camera to bring it in for charging is a thin metal "key." It's quite literally a flat metal piece so anyone can just plop the camera off your mount if they had something like a metal nail file on hand.

I had the nest door bell wired version and it would not connect to the hub. I returned it for a wireless and it works perfecto. I appears that I have to charge it in 2 months but I’m not complaining. It does the job. Night vision is clear and I have no complaints.

Really like the simple and clean design of this. IMO it looks a lot better then Ring. Can be put anywhere with Wi-Fi in battery mode, also has the option to be hardwired to your old doorbell wiring in most cases. Has good field of view and allows you to see faces but also packages on the ground. With nest aware you can name people, and when they come to your hose it will say “John is at the door” instead of “someone”. Pretty neat. Only thing I don’t like is there is no option for 27-7 recording like my old indoor nest cams. Sometimes this will start recording an event late, or not at all. Also the resolution isn’t 1080, so picture quality is good, but could be better.

The camera itself is pretty nice. And installation was fairly easy. But sadly this device is no longer compatible with Nest as Google rebranded their products Google Home. The name change I can live with. The problem is, there is no longer a way to view the video feed of Google Home devices on your PC or Mac with a standard web browser. I routinely use the Nest portal to view my existing Nest cameras on my home PC. So now I am limited to the Google Home mobile app or I guess Google expects me to purchase a separate Google Home Hub display. I am very disappointed.

This is an easy to install video doorbell. The video picture is very good. A large area can be seen. I got it on sale and using Google home app is also easy to use.

I only wanted it for the video doorbell and to see when people and deliveries happen. Both things it does well. After having it for a few months I can say the cold weather kills the battery fast. I usually ha e to charge it every 2-3 weeks. But I kind of expected it so it doesn't really bother me too much. The biggest hurdle I had was getting a good mount for it. I got tired of trying what was available and what came with it and 3d printed my own. It came out so much better. I don't subscribe to the additional plans so I can't speak to how they work. It does what I wanted it to.

Awesome doorbell with sleek design, has never had any issues. Clear pictures, lights up when someone walks up to the door... can even tilt it to angle differently. We've loved it!

Easy install and has a range of view. I've had it up for about a month and haven't seen the battery percentage drop much. My front entrance is on the side of my house so it doesn't capture or notify of cars passing on the street or people walking on the sidewalk. Just whomever is in range of my door. If you don't have a lot of visitors that helps eliminate the "whose there?" Settings for packages has worked great as well.

We really like the ease of installation. It took about 5 minutes to install. Also the product is working well, and the battery life is great.

Google wireless doorbell Pros Video quality is pretty clear even in low light conditions. Sound quality is is really clear you can hear pretty much across the street. Can be mounted almost anywhere. Good for very low traffic areas Best just for a doorbell that can activate camera when pressed. Cons Really large Battery life is horrible even when hard wired it just drains Battery life only last a few days sometimes a few hours depending on traffic. Hard wiring does not help extend Battery life. Google was absolutely no help to fix battery life or replace device. Amazon definitely would. Motion events are delayed even in high sensitivity mode. Motion events are missed 75% of the time. One minute i have nothing on my steps the next minute i have a package with no idea or evidence how it got there. The wired version is 11x better

When i first opened the box , i was taken back from the size of this doorbell and was wondering if i will even fit. The installation process was easy, a little too easy. I got the doorbell to fix but hooking it on the backet took some time. I didn't care that it doesn't record 24/7 as long as it picked up everything which it did. I liked this doorbell so much that i bought another one for the back door.

Google Nest doorbell has become an essential for my home! I was weary of it at first, I will be honest! But now i can't imagine our daily life without it. Being able to see clearly who is at the door, being able to talk to people (ie. Solicitors, or that long-awaited package from amazon!!) without opening the door is huge for a SAHM. Especially when you have littles, and you may not be in the greatest area, or honestly the scary world we live in now. Pairing the doorbell with the nest camera over the garage and in the patio area, as well as the nest hub, has been one of the most stress-relieving choices I've made. I 100% reccomend these items, we've never felt more in control of our safety!

I was having a hard tome deciding on going with the google cam or the ring doorbell and i know a friend that has the ring and i feel they charge their camera more often than i do and the set up and app are super user friendly and the quality of the camera is amazing honestly glad with my purchase

This is my first smart/video doorbell. Installation was super easy! I must say I’m super impressed with this little device. The only downside/flaw with this doorbell is the Google Home app, when adding someone to the home app to have access to the doorbell it automatically makes them a manager with full access and with access to every other Google Home connected device. Google needs to change that ASAP So you can limit what people have access to and what they can change.

It works great! The image is very good! The size I ready the idea that it was smaller and the need to use the google home app stead nest it is another con but in general it is an awesome product

[Employee of bestbuy] I bought this camera and was a bit intimidated by the thought of inatalling it on my house but the instructions made it super clear and easy. All the necessary hardware was included and the only tools I used was a screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers.

Picture perfect. The app did all of the install work, except screwing in 2 screws. Twenty-three minutes start to finish. Amazing. I’m a 66-year old woman, admittedly handy, but still. . . this was super simple. Perfectly clear video. Was picking up the neighbor’s voice across the street so i turned the audio to lower response. So cool. I had debated for a year whether to get a video doorbell. Tried to install a different brand that would not work with my 35-year old transformer (it’s pulling 10.8). So glad I found this Google product that can accommodate older/lower output transformer.

A lot easier to install than I thought it would be! Quality of the Camera is incredible and the audio/mic feature have been great for when I'm not home and a delivery driver needs instructions, I can communicate with them on the fly. The battery also lasts forever since is runs only when it detects movement on my property.
