This is the newest model in Google's Pixel Watch line. I own one of their older models and was impressed with the improvements and terrific functionality of this latest offering. Pros: - You get two options for face size (41mm or 45mm). To me, 45mm is too big for most wrist sizes. But if you've got larger than average wrists, the extra space will be helpful to you. Especially when trying to type out a text message on the digital keyboard! - The display is beautiful and can easily be customized. See the photos I've included for my preferred layout showcasing steps taken, heart rate, weather, and the time. - The bands are engineered/designed so well that putting the watch on and taking it off is as easy as possible. I remember the old days when it would take me minutes to try and get a watch on properly with just one hand. This design takes mere seconds. - The overall weight of the watch is terrific, where you don't feel like your arm is weighed down to the point that you could experience fatigue throughout the day. - While you can read and respond to text messages by typing, I loved how well the voice dictation worked. Being able to leave my phone in my pocket while still communicating promptly with others was extremely convenient. - The watch charges very quickly on the dock. I have found a good routine where I charge it while I'm in the shower and it's full when I finish. You can also use this watch as a bedside clock/alarm and just keep it docked all night. Cons: - It was a little tricky to attach the band to the face. This watch is not only good looking, but it is comfortable and has any feature you could want to make your day go more smoothly and efficiently!

I love the new Google Pixel 5 watch. It has great features and is a very good looking watch. I wear it all the time and like all the health tracking it gives me, from quality of sleep and tracking all my activity throughout the day. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to give me my blood pressure reading on the spot.

I was worried the band wouldn't fit me since the display only had a large band attatched, but in the box, a small band was included and it fit just fine.

This watch was a replacement for my wife who dropped her Pixel 4 watch and even with a repair worked for a while until she swam in a pool. The Pixel 5 is almost identical to the Pixel 4. The touch screen is fast and very responsive. We like the brightness of the watch face and since we both have Pixel phones we have a great experience all around with the two devices.

This watch very easy to set up and very comfortable although navigating takes getting used to which is to be expected although I like the band it is a little more difficult than expected to install but not a total disappointment being I know they probably will not come off easily

The google pixel 5 watch is a very attractive 41mm watch with an assortment of different color bands to choose from. My wife has been wanting a smart watch for a long time and was not a big fan of the square apple watch. She is also an android phone user, Samsung phones to be exact, so the Google Pixel watch was an excellent option for what she was needing. Setup was pretty straight forward using the Google pixel watch app. The app flows through the setup process and allows a lot of customization. The app will also prompt you to connect to the fit bit app to track most of your fitness, steps and other health related data. There are a number of watch faces available and I am sure there will be one that fits exactly what you need. The watch is light weight and claims a 30 hour battery life or more depending on usage. The pixel watch 5 is powered by a snapdragon W5 Gen 2 processor that is supposed to be up to 25% faster than previous chips and a screen that goes up to 3000 nits of brightness so use outside on bright days should not be a problem. After a week of using the watch, I have only heard good things about this watch from my wife. One thing I guess that needs to be brought out is that this watch does not work with Apple phones, it is designed to work exclusively with android. The Pixel watch 5 comes in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm to fit about anybody's taste in watches.

The continuous heart rate monitor is very helpful for POTS and similar issues

The Google Pixel Watch 5 (41mm) brings a lot of practical everyday convenience to your wrist, acting as a great hands-free filter for your phone. It excels at keeping you connected without forcing you to constantly pull your phone out of your pocket or run across the house every time a notification buzzes . The biggest wins here come down to daily usability and communication tweaks: Independent Audio & Notification Controls: Being able to mute the watch speaker while maintaining discrete vibration alerts, without having to alter your phone's global volume settings, is a fantastic touch for quiet environments. On-Wrist Call & Message Management: Reading incoming texts directly from your wrist saves endless unnecessary screen checks. Taking calls right from the watch is genuinely useful when your phone is across the room, and quickly shutting down incoming spam calls, even when stepping away from your desk, is a huge real-world convenience. However, the hardware falls short on a few day-to-day fundamentals: Battery Life & Night Mode: The battery drains noticeably fast, even when leveraging night mode. It requires frequent top-offs that keep you tethered to a charger more often than you would like. Proprietary Charging Cable Setup: The charging setup relies on a dedicated USB-C connector. Having a standard USB adapter or broader plug options in the box would make topping off far less restrictive when traveling or away from your primary desk setup. Inconsistent Voice Texting: While hands-free dictation is great in theory, the actual voice-to-text execution feels wonky. The system tends to cut off mid-sentence, and trying to edit or append text on the fly becomes a frustrating chore. It feels like an area that needs software refinement. Beyond communication and battery, a few other features bear mentioning:: Health Metrics & Fitbit Premium Gap: The health, step, and sleep tracking suite is impressive on paper, but the experience feels gated by the push toward a paid Fitbit Premium subscription to unlock the best data insights . Display Brightness & UI Fluidity: The screen visibility outdoors and general UI navigation across menus are crisp and fast, though Google's proprietary band attachment limits third-party strap options. Here is the bottom line: I like what the Pixel Watch 5 offers on a daily basis based on its practical features, call handling, and phone-tethering convenience, but it is a mixed bag from a value perspective. It hits the mark on keeping you present and saving you trips across the house to grab your phone. However, because it competes at a premium flagship level, the multi-day battery limitations, proprietary charging quirks, paywalled health analytics, and finicky voice dictation keep it from being an easy overall recommendation. If you are looking strictly for maximum utility per dollar, those daily friction points hold it back from delivering top-tier value.

This is my first pixel watch. Style wise it’s nothing super fancy, but simple and not ugly. I don’t love the band, and I tend to break these cheaper bands pretty easily so I’m going to get a new one to swap out that’s a bit more durable. It has one physical button, a fairly sensitive and easy to read screen. The AI health features are ok, but nothing to brag about. I think the AI is more gimmick than useful and any dedicated app you buy is probably better overall , but I guess its better than nothing if you don’t care to buy an app. Maybe it will get better over time with free updates? But for anyone really familiar with the technology, know that no smartwatch gets your calories burned right, so don’t count on this being any different. Connected to my pixel phone no problem, but I don’t think it would be worse with a different android phone. I did notice that google pay seemed to set up easier than my other non-google smartwatch set up pay, so maybe that’s an improvement for matching Google and Google. Other features for having a pixel phone are things like not needing to use your watch to control your phone camera if you want to set it up and then take a picture without having to set a timer and run. It also theoretically has a better syncing of things like do not disturb mode, but this one I don’t really feel like is much better since I haven’t seen syncing to be a big deal generally with my smartwatches. Apparently you can also have it synced so that you don’t need to unlock your phone if you’re wearing your watch. I haven’t tested this out really because that’s not a feature I really want since that means if I’m wearing a watch and someone tries to unlock the phone near me they can just get into my phone. In using it the battery life seems great and I haven’t really had any issues with freezing or crashing which I have had with other watches, so that’s great. Charging is another specialty charger just like everyone else. I wish they would all get onboard with either a USB-C or qi wireless charging, but it’s probably too much to ask even though charging from my phone with reverse charging would be awesome. Overall a nice smartwatch and a great option for anyone that has an android or especially a pixel phone.
