There are 1000 different products offering the "same" result for a fraction of the cost. However, understand that manufacture backed items are usually put through more tests and trials than that plastic un-tested deal. This pole exceeded all of my expectations. I had read reviews on the cheaper poles only to find out some had thethem bend, crimp, break, or ultimately lose their GoPro in the worst case scenarios. This pole has 3 different levels of extension, which gives you the comfort of being able to reach over the largest of crowds or even give you that little bit more reach standing on top of a tall structure. I subjected this pole to minimal water, which was merely splashback from a boat ride we took in Belize. I felt comfortable enough with the design, that I placed the camera close to the water to get a unique view of our ride. Get this pole vs another cheaper made pole if you plan on using it for extreme situations or frequent uses. I watched a similar looking pole come apart of a guy on a beach in Cozumel rendering the pole useless once it got sand in it.

This is a must have if you have a GoPro. It has 3 different lengths you can use, just slightly turn it and you will feel & hear a click then you can turn it back and click it to lock it's position. Cool thing is that it has a ball joint so you can easily tilt your camera to the desired angle/position without having to take it off and remount it. This is the sturdiest selfie stick I have come across, yet not heavy. The grip is comfortable for any spot you grab on the handle...with one hand or two hands. Doesn't feel flimsy when you sway back and forth and it can mount on a tripod. The El Grande is waterproof, but doesn't float; you can probably install a floaty on your camera door and it will work. It has 2 holes at the bottom of the handle to drain water out. It's well worth the money I spent on this product. I would highly recommend the El Grande if you need a selfie stick.

I took this stick on a recent vacation and it was perfect to take shots of myself and the group I was vacationing with. The stick easily collapses and is very sturdy in all lengths. The best features are the rubber grip on the entire base and the 360 rotating top. Money well spent.

Sturdy, water resistant and nice looking. Extends and retracts easily. Well made. I had after market sticks and they are all junk compared to this one.

The stick is nice, large diameter, and provides plenty of length for most needs. What is it missing (and why did I return it)? It doesn’t have a threaded (or other form of mounting adapter in the base of the grip. I was looking for an extension pole (boom) to mount my GoPro Max above my car. Some of the photos appeared to show an adapter in the base of the grip, making this a perfect choice when paired with a suction cup mount. Unfortunately, the base only has a drain hole and some plastic detailing that might accept a lanyard. It didn’t meet my needs, but it is a sturdy item and would probably work well for someone else (if a little high priced) for What amounts to a selfie stick.

This monopod is really easy to use and versatile. I found it easy to change angles and views, even on the move. Great addition to my GoPro accessories.

It is very sturdy and was able to use while rafting... I wish that it had a button for taking pictures. I am only able to take pictures while I have it paired with my phone.

This pole works very well. It is stable, easy to get in and out, and hasn't rusted at all. I used a cheaper off brand pole before and after using it in the ocean, it began to rust and fall apart. This product has been in the salt water several times and continues to perform well.

This product is sturdy and very co vinient to carry for traveling. A must have!!

It is long and strong but not heavy. Used it in salt water. You have to clean it good afterwards. Doesnt come with the rope at the end for extra safety.

Bought this for our honeymoon trip to Hawaii. We were able to get great pictures and video using this product. From parasailing to paddle boarding this thing handled it all. Highly recommend.

Not a lot of features for the price, but it's very sturdy and extends to a good length. My only annoyance is that it has a large connection assembly due to the ball configuration vs using a single connecting point.

This monopod is extremely durable and I totally trust my camera as long as it is properly mounted. I bit heavy, but it’s to be expected when you have a durable, high quality monopod like this.

Better quality, Sturdy non slip grip handle, and extension beyond the competition, makes this stick well worth it and much better than cheap third party sticks.

I used it (with the help of the Handlebar Mount) with my gimbal and I got great movies. The extra length also gives you options you never had before. It is very well built.

Very durable and the swivel makes it easy to change from orientation of camera.

I wanted a monopod for my GoPro 7. I tried a different brand, but was not reliable. This works perfect. Very stable and easy to handle.

It was a huge bonus having this while filming from a boat during a rain storm and still be able to stay dry under the boats canopy.
