I picked this up for a trip to Jamaica. It took a bit of getting used to but I eventually figured it out. The pictures and video were great although my finger was in a few pics from when I pressed the button. I think it would've been better to go with the option with a screen so you have an idea of what your picture includes, but eventually you will get the gist of it. All in all I'm quite satisfied with my go pro as I was able to get some nice shots in and out of the water. I added a couple pics I took using the go pro

My go pro experience has not been the greatest maybe bad luck on my end who knows. So this was go pro # 4 for me in less then a year I actually gave them all names . thank goodness for extended warranty best buy your awsome and great staff too so helpful.. first one "go pro" would freeze until dies so took it back got upgrade #2 (go bro) black screen stopped working took back upgraded again #3 ( go ho) would freeze stuck on tell battery died stopped turning on so upgraded to go pro hero session 5 (go lo) it worked 3 times tell it started freezing while turned on. I am able to reset and power down sometimes, love the pics, love the small size love it when it works thinking the flaw is not being able to remove battery, or I have lousy luck with cameras..

This is my second go pro. The first popped off my hat while I was playing a good brown trout. I had to make a choice between the trout and the go pro. The trout seemed the better choice at the time. Yeah, the trout came unpinned after a while, so I lost both. I hope someone downstream on the Big Hole River, got some good float video when they retrieved it. Anyway, this is much better. Mounted on the bill of my hat, it doesn’t feel awkward up there. And I already have some great footage of tarpon in the air. This is about as perfect a go pro as I could want.

Man this little camera packs a big punch the quality is amazing !!! GoPro does it again this time with half the weight !!! Very satisfied with this little thing

This is my first action camera and I love it. The voice activation is convenient, although I do need to hit the lower button first to get it "listening" to me. It is still better than a record button since it allows me to activate it, prior to plugging in the battery to the quad, then starting recording by voice. The picture quality in 1080/90 is great. Anything above that has too slow of a frame rate and the video quality suffers. I do wish there was something higher than 90 fps. Regardless, this camera fits my needs with near perfection and is rock solid. I have bashed this camera a number of times and had it fly off the quad a couple times because the impact was so great that it ripped the strap. The Session has shaken it all off with the exception of a broken lens glass. For $19 I consider it a minor issue and surprising that it wasn't far more damage. I would certainly buy this again if I had the need to do so.

Perfect for the price and the cost is very good for what it can do. No need for the black. My opinion. It does it all.

Bought this to strap on my quadcopter and have tested the durability many times and it still holds up. Great camera, but battery could be better

After a long wait for an HD camera for my FPV freestyle drones, I finally was able to get the Session 5, and I have to say, I'm glad I waited. The size and profile is perfect for my drones. The quality is awesome and 1080p 60 FPS looks fantastic.

The small size of this camera convinced an owner operator of an aircraft to let me mount it on the wing of his aircraft for inflight video flying around Denali at 10,500 feet. Great results in 4K!

This camera is very easy to use right out of the Box. The picture is exceptional the best camera I've ever bought.

I have purchased gopros since the time they were released. Everyone of them still works like new. They have proven to be the most durable cameras I have that take amazing quality video. The Session 5 is absolutely my goto camera at this point. It shoots excellent video and fits my racing drone perfectly.

Works great, under any tough condition. Very stable video - in the air while parasailing or flying on a zip-line, in the water while scuba diving or snorkeling, or riding a horse. Note that it's not easy to set it up and get accustomed to using it as well as the apps. But once you do, it works fine.

This camera takes amazing video. The size is so small I’m afraid of losing it. I don’t know how thy packed so much quality into such a small packege. The smart phone connectivity is a huge plus too!

I fly FPV drones and am constantly breaking stuff. The cam shoots great video and the replacement plan is the best. I have replaced it twice now completely broken and no questions asked.

I fly race drones and this is one of the best cameras from GoPro.

I returned a dying Go Pro Hero +. Couldn't replace it as its not longer made. Granted I purchased this mostly for unique stills. I do not have a smart phone, so some options weren't available to me. Big disappointed. Terrible computer app to work with. The photo quality was horrible at 10 MP, compared to the Hero +, which took super crisp stills. The menus were not easy to negotiate. It auto turns on to video mode, granted it's an action camera. However, I'm disabled and don't see much action, except shooting rides on my scooter. The 4K turned out over exposed. Out of 300 shots 10 photos were good after running them through a photo app to fix them. Took it along to the beach on my twin brother and my birthday, in a very well lit spendy restaurant I did not get one single shot of our birthday. The shutter is so hard to push and the camera is so small every picture was blurry. Even using voice commands inside,, there was too much nose, for the camera to hear the commands 5 feet away. I loved voice commands when they worked. Everything out doors was over exposed. Everything indoors was grainy and under exposed. Maybe I got a Lemmon. But after four bad experiences with Go Pro they are highly over rated. A friend bought a knock off for under a hundred dollars that takes sharp, crisp, clear pictures. I was horrified. I returned it, but of course I was forced, locked into purchasing at Best Buy, since they rarely give cash back. I saw a once $500,00 Sony Action camera, x1000 for only $200.00. I took a chance and ordered it. With a Carl Zeiss lens, if i get even 20 good shots it will beat the Go Pro. If not, it will be a good knock around camera for fun. I'm sure this has a place in this world for others, but I seriously wonder about Go Pro adds, are those fantastic shots really taken with their products. It was their page that sold me. I do have to say that the quality, and build, and the Gorilla glass lens are excellent. But there are some obvious short cuts to save money in the lens quality between the Go Pro +, and this Go Pro Session 5. The plus was so much better taking a decent photo. Even at two MP less than the Session Very sad it's no longer made.

This is an easy to use, small, lightweight, versatile camera that can survive almost everything. The only downside is battery life.

Using this on my motorcycle this model does a much better job smoothing out the bumps and vibrations to make a cleaner video. I still wish the battery was better, or allowed to have extra batteries to switch out, or ideally, incorporate a case that you could attach a chord to the gopro to have it constantly plugged into an external power source. Still a great camera, and the size is awesome.

The size and the eaze with which to make Video and Pictures make the session 5 a perfect HERO camera. We already have some accessories and this makes the price of the camera worth every moment and space. A lot of settings and features in this little one. Water proof without the case... PLUS Battery life is almost two hours with the option to be charging at the same time is in use... PLUS Hundreds of accessories... PLUS One click and a just a second away from not missing a shot... PLUS We love the session 5. Buy, try it and keep it.
