My original reason for buying the GoPro Hero 8 Black was to create video content from my motorcycle. The camera is capable of so much more! Since it will take both video and still photos, including under water, it has replaced all of my other cameras. Wide range of settings precisely control the content. But you need to know. 1. No written instruction are included and the on-line Go Pro instructions are not for beginners. Thankfully, great third-party videos exist on YouTube. I bought mine about a month ago and am now just feeling confident in its operation, including content transfer. Once you learn how to operate the camera, its operation is straight forward. Plan to spend some time learning to use it. 2. Plan to spend some money on accessories, including at least one spare battery--it eats power. Mounts and cases are essential for usages. 3. Takes forever to upload video content. You will learn patience. 4. Plan to buy multiple SD cards so that you can upload content files via your computer without tying up your camera. 5. It works with Mac devices, but more steps and different apps are required.

I bought this action camera for my trip to Cancun. It worked great and due to the fact that it is waterproof, I was able to do some snorkeling with it and didn't have any issues. Quality of the video was great and even the audio sounded well even when i was in the water with it. The only downfall of this camera is that you need to buy accessories for it. I bought an extra battery and make sure you invest on a good sd card because then you will have issues with it. It's like driving a Lamborghini and pumping regular unleaded gas, so yeah get yourself a good one. The Quik app is also nice. You can edit your pics and videos there.

I am absolutely in love with this Go Pro, I’m so used to taking my DSLR around. However, I love to kayak! So it’s a little scary to bring a camera that size and worth so much into a creek or any body of water for that matter! Luckily, this Go Pro eliminates all those fears! I’ve used this for recording behind the goal shots of soccer games, kayaking in my favorite waters on the east coast and even gone biking with it. All accessories are available to purchase all while still being affordable. To navigate it, takes maybe a day, but once you learn the widgets and stuff you’ll be fine!

Works well. Good quality photos and easy app to use for quick wireless export to phone and quick edits. Would recommend. See photos from recent snorkeling trip.

Im glad i finally got one they are good quality easy to use and have all the features you need to capture anything. 10/10

GoPro in my opinion has finally bridged their quality action Hero line to vloggers. With the GPH8B’s fold-out “finger”, you‘ll not be needing a frame (cage) mount to connect it to a selfie-stick. Stabilization improvements over the Hero7 with horizon leveling is outstanding and soon adding the “Mods” (Media Mod, Display Mod, Light Mod) will make the GPH8B a contender against other vlogging cameras. The video modes presets and user interface shortcuts can help you make changes on the fly, going from a POV to time warp and back to normal with a touch. I highly recommend the GPH8B as an action camera and a vlogging camera.

Love this thing! I like when it's on my head and I hit the record button when it's turned off, it starts recording and when I hit it again it turns off. They should tell you to format the cards, once I did that, no issues. Returned 2 cameras because of that issue.

Great camera takes great videos and pictures. All the extra accessories they have for the Hero8 are great too they really come in handy.

I do sports photography and attach this to the cold shoe on my camera to help make behind the scene videos for IG reels! It does exactly what I need!

This GoPro replaces my old Hero Session and there is quite a jump between the two cameras, especially quality. I am very happy with the Hero8. If there were any complaints I would have to say that the door is annoying. It keeps popping off, which is better than breaking off, but I also feel like one day it will come off and I will lose it. At least the door is replaceable. Also, importing the files to my computer using the cord takes ~2 hours but inserting the card takes about 2 minutes. I guess my usb port is slow, but this is also annoying. I have included a picture that I made with the GoPro. I stacked the images from a timelapse to create this image of the stars & lightning bugs. Really awesome!

Works great for anything. I've used it for ovwr a year to capture every exciting moment. This camera never failed me

Works very well. I use it to take footage of 3D printing and other things and so far it has been great. The stabilization is awesome! There are only two issues: - side door has to be removed to charge the camera, so if you want to take footage while charging, you have to remove the side door which will expose the battery. - tends to overheat pretty quick. If you are using it for something indoor, it’s likely that after 15 minutes it will shutdown. Since I keep it in an enclosure for 3D printers, I added a fan and the overheating became manageable. Still, it’s good stuff.

Best option for any action sport must have for motorcycle riders

Great quality, very stable. Easy to use. Video and photo quality are great.

Super impressed with the video quality and features for the price.

This camera takes. crystal clear videos as high a resolution as 4K . Also takes great photos 12.2 megapixel. The image stabilization is incredible there is almost zero camera shake even when walking with camera in hand . Takes great und Ed water videos without a housing up to 33 ft deep .

I LOVE this camera. I considered the 9, but the specs on the 8 seemed to be what I was looking for, and wow, it met my expectations and absolutely exceeded them! I love the time warp, the stability is insanely impressive, and it's just a blast to film with. The only issue I've had with this awesome camera is that a minor, approximately three foot, drop ended up shattering the back led screen. Of course, this was heartbreaking, but it's in the hands of geek squad for now, and I can't wait to get it back. So, I'd recommend getting the warranty, it's just a good idea in case gravity decides to test you. I still give it 5 stars! It's worth it, and I'm beyond happy with the footage this little dude captures.

These great little action cameras. They're light relative to their newer versions, and I think are the first to have variable hyper smooth. I grabbed on in 'open box' condition (i.e. flawless) and it's eligible for accident protection. Hope there are still some in the future.

I purchase the GoPro for our vacation to take all the Fun Pictures and Memories we were going to make. I love our GoPro. Look at the Fun We had on our vacation and Memories we saved on our GoPro.!!!! Thank You Best Buy.!!!

GoPro... I have been using them from day 1. The hero 1 was where it started. The three got an incredible amount of use. I even ran it over at a Jeep event, it kept on filming. The 5 had extreme microphone issues. Finally the 8 has come. The mic is great and works very well. The zoom option is a plus. The stability setting really works! The only drawback is the thing changed size again... time for new accessories. It does not fit in the gimbals. We use it daily to record online church devotions and frequently on Jeep adventures. Intercession City cog thanks you.
