We had a non-smart digital solar powered thermometer that had water incursion, so I was urged to get an old-fashioned 'dumb' thermometer to replace it. When I saw this, I had to try it out. It's affordable, and I have a ton of Govee products already so it was easy to integrate into my smarthome. The thermometer works with two batteries and has been going strong since I got it. Setup was easy, and it reads the temps pretty quickly. I like that I can monitory the temperature from my smart hub or my phone. The only negatives so far are that the string it came with snapped, though I'm not sure if that's because of the chlorine/salt water in the pool, and the device itself is so small that it keeps getting caught in my skimmer, both very minor issues.
