Fit not right greenworks 80v 18inch chainsaw

Says it will work with 18inch model. It halfway works. But gets super hot and locks up. I brought it twice because the first time, I used it on a big tree and I thought I might of pinched the bar. So I brought another one and it did the same thing on some light work. I don’t think the chain lines up with the drive gear properly. I could be doing something wrong. But i put smaller bars on other chainsaws with no issues

Changing the size of the bar and chain either larger or shorter would have a detrimental effect on the life of the unit and the motor might not have the same power.
