Keep in mind when engaging in different settings on the unit, it may require more power, thus taking more from your battery when using, effecting runtime. Q: Will my other Greenworks batteries fit this machine?
A: Hi Bill. Thank you for your interest. If the current battery platform you own is the Greenworks 80V, then yes, they will be compatible. Each voltage platform (24V/48V, 40V, 60V, 80V, and 82V) has a dedicated set of tools that are only interchangeable within the same voltage range. For example, an 80V 2.0Ah battery will work in any 80V unit but is not compatible with 24V/48V, 40V, 60V, or 82V units. Only Greenworks batteries, chargers, and machines of the same voltage are compatible and interchangeable. We hope this information helped!

I bought this battery-powered snow thrower because I hate breathing exhaust fumes from my gasoline-powered one. Assembly was simple, and the device is not too heavy for me to lift into my vehicle. As for usage, it's simple to operate. The handle for directing the chute is well designed. The battery charges fast, the charger is fan-cooled, and with green lights indicating a complete recharge. (See photo.) Installing the battery is simple, however, removing the battery is a little awkward lifting it out with just the fingertips. The motor noise level is much quieter than my gas powered one. I carry a 1x2 stick to clear the chute when the snow is wet and sticky. I have to be careful going over sections of broken or uneven concrete – it makes a loud bang when it hits an irregular chunk of pavement (which any snowthrower would do). However, the plastic rotor blade might chip or crack, and I'm considering purchasing a replacement rotor blade just in case it might break. Now, you do have to push this device, it is not self-propelled. And the two times I've used it so far, it left a thin layer of snow on the sidewalk, it didn't scrape all the way to the concrete. And it would be nice if the handles were slightly higher, as I am a six foot senior. But all in all, I am delighted to have gone electric with my snow removal. Just look at that styling – it's like a big toy! Be safe everyone – these machines must be respected and used with safe practices.

Verrry big storm in New England these past few days close to two feet of snow. This thing is a little monster! I’m shocked at how well it performs. Unreal. I love this machine. Downsized from a gas powered toro and sooooo happy I did! I used the 4ah battery and it lasted for over an hour, then charged in under 2 hours.

I was a bit skeptical about electric snow blower. However it exceeded my expectations! It is so easy to clean sidewalks! And 4amp 80 volt battery holds pretty well! I can clean a 3 car garage driveway and a sidewalk. I have a corner lot, so one battery is not anough, however I have a lawn mower with the same battery, so for my corner lot I’m using abou 1.2 batteries :)
