The included 5.0Ah battery’s runtime will depend on the snow you’re clearing: light, dry snow generally takes less power than deep, wet snow, so there isn’t one reliable number of minutes for every storm. Yes, you can purchase a backup battery separately. This model has a second battery port with manual switchover; be sure to look for a Greenworks Commercial 82V battery, rather than a standard 80V battery.
