We purchased the Gymax 2-Seater Toyota FJ40 Ride-On Truck (Red) for our son's birthday. Unfortunately, after only his second use, the truck stopped driving forward and will now only reverse. When the pedal or remote is used to go forward, it just makes a clicking noise. Needless to say, our son is heartbroken. Prospective buyers should also be aware that there is a fair amount of assembly required. I felt like a certified auto technician by the time I finished putting it together. Expect to spend at least an hour or two on assembly, and the small-print instructions make the process more challenging than it should be. The music is a little unusual, but still kid-friendly, and our son didn't seem to mind. Aside from the driving issue, the other functions appear to work properly. Also note that the fog lights require separate batteries and have their own on/off switch. Overall, the toy is not quite as sophisticated as I expected. I was hoping my son would be able to interact with more of the features independently while riding. We have contacted Gymax to see if they can resolve the issue or provide replacement parts. If customer service is responsive and the vehicle can be repaired, I will update this review accordingly.
