I LOVE this slow cooker. I've had it now for 2-3 months and cook in it 1-2 times a week. Make sure you have nylon or wooden utensils since it is non-stick. Everything I have cooked in it wipes down easily--even a cheese dip. I've not even had to use any crock pot liners with this crock pot. I've used the crock on the stove to brown my meat and then immediately placed the crock into the base to add my vegetables, etc and turned it on to begin cooking. It also works in the oven--just don't use the lid. I liked that this device does not have a rubber gasket around the rim. I am still working on my cook times. I like that it automatically switches to warm when the cook time is over, but I usually leave it for 2-4 hours on warm before dinner and sometimes food can become a little dry. It has been a great tool since I work nights. I place things in it in the morning when I get home and it cooks while I sleep. Our family can sit down and have a good, hot dinner that I have not slaved over!

I've used this now several times to cook large meals that I can freeze controlled portions. Chicken, pork, and beef/turkey chili. The stovetop sauté capability is fabulous for mushrooms onions and browning the meat for more flavor. Of course as in other reviews the handles are hot… It's used on a hot stove! Cool plastic would melt. Use hot pads to transfer into the cooker base. The timer switching to warm when it's finished is great in case you fall asleep while taking a nap. Way better than back in the day.

When I got my crock pot and found out it could be used Stovetop and in the oven was thrilled. Always brown my meat before cooking and this saves me a pan. Works great.

I selected this slow cooker based on a product review from Better Homes and Garden and reviews from other owners and I'm glad I did. It's super easy to use and clean. On one occasion, I had to brown the beef for my stew and it was very convenient to do it in the same pot over the stove. So far I've had no problems :)

So happy I could finally make a whole 4.5 lb. corned beef brisket in it, and still have room for the potatoes, carrots and cabbage! We liked it so well we also bought the smaller 4 qt. model to use when it’s just the two of us.

It is the right size for most cooking recipes. It is light and not heavy like other crock pots.

I've only used this cooker one time, so it's really too soon to review. But I was very happy with the price and it worked great the time that I used it. I like the metal liner for stove top, like browning. And I've had problems with crocks cracking.

I love being able to start the cooking process on the stovetop. Definitely saves the time of washing an extra pan. The cleanup is also very easy. I use this crockpot every week. Would definitely recommend it!

This crock pot is great. The fact that you can put it on the stove and not use extra pans is the best feature.

The best part of this crock pot was being able to sear your meat on the stove first in the pot, then drop into the warming pot.

I love the fact that I can use the insert on the stove top, which is the reason I chose this model. Also, I like that it is very light weight. I've used it twice so far and the results were great!! Love the oval shape, great size.

It has the stainless steel look that matches my kitchen. I love how the timer is programmable and it automatically keeps food warm for several hours after it's done cooking. The thing I enjoy most is that the crock is made out of metal and has a non-stick finish. No struggling with a heavy glass pot that has baked on food when it's time to wash. Another neat feature is that the pot is designed for stove top use which allows you to brown ingredients. No need to dirty another pot. The price of the unit was also very reasonable.

I love that I can brown right in the crock and not have to use a frying pan and lose all that fond that forms on the bottom. The only draw back is that I wish the timer had longer cook times. Sometimes 10 hours isn't long enough, like when you are doing a pork shoulder. Otherwise this is a fantastic slow cooker.
