daughter spent 3 day "hatching" the eggs which did require help, but is now spending a lot of time playing with the little characters inside. Essentially they're tiny plastic toys that aren't special at all, but for some reason they're appealing to a 3.5 year old. Instead of picking up an accessory like the display stands / homes for these, she's been getting creative creating little tents for them using scraps of fabric, etc.. so they're still inviting for imaginative play.

My kids absolutely adore Hatchimals. However, that's true for most any toy that is a surprise for them to open. They do really love the cute little critters that they ultimate get, and I've been impressed that I don't think they've gotten a single duplicate in all the Hatchimals they've opened.

A fun gift for easter. Kido loved rubbing them to get the shell soft enough to crack. Little cute animals inside. they were prized possessions for a while then I just found the little critters everywhere. But worth the smiles and fun. Not as messy as I expected. I have gotten a few of this same product over the years and still fun is to be had. I also got some for Birthday party bags for friends.

I always buy these for my kids as filler gifts, and they loves them! I usually buy them on sale and I like these carton packs because the kids can keep the hatchimals in them.

These are just little figurines, but they have great detail, take a few minutes to open (if you can convince the kids to rub for color change), and come with a collector's guide that names and categorizes them. I like the 12 packs so you can store them afterwards. We use these as small rewards for good behavior and on long trips. My 5yo girl, 6yo boy, and 8yo boy all enjoy them although the 5 and 6 year old play with them more frequently after opening.

Bought these on sale on Bestbuy.com for my 3 and a half year old daughter. She loves Hatchimals. They're a little hard for a small child to open. So what I do is slightly press into it and let her do the rest. She's so amazed with everyone of her characters once she opens them. I would recommend these as well as a Hatchimals playset, though not required for them to enjoy these small toys.

My daughter loves rubbing the hearts on the little eggs to hatch these little surprises. I can see how each one is fun because you never know what your going to get! Waste of money yes in an adult eyes, but if it makes the kid happy so be it!

I don't really get these toys but my daughter loves them. I got a great deal on this through Best Buy so it was worth it for the happiness it brought her. As far as the toys inside? There isn't much to them and it doesn't seem they should cost much at all but I know they are popular so supply and demand I guess. We had no issues with the product or the purchase or shipping process at all. Love Best Buy!

My niece has been obsessed with hatchimals since they first came out. She likes the small ones the most and now with these almost egg carton like sets i can give her a bunch of them in a convenient carrying case. If you have a hatchimals fan at your house a couple of theses are great gift ideas.

The tray just fits, you'll need to open (hatch) the eggs and out comes the cuties. My daughter loves these because of the detail on them. Recommend to give it to a kid that's 4+, or they might put these in their mouth. Also, too small that kids may lose it easily.

I have now been introduced to no less than 250 Hatchimal friends..she (9yo) gets so stoked on looking for rare characters and she goes Bananerz when she finds twins. Watching her with them is free therapy. BEST PRICE ON THE WEB BY FAR - thanks again BestBuy!

I do wish these arent as expensive as they are. Even when you catch a sale, it’s still pretty pricey overall. The upside is that it looks like Christmas every time my daughter cracks open an egg so the price is still worth it.

My children absolutely love their hatchimals! I especially like the carton because it provides a great carrying case for my daughter. It also gives her an attractive way to display her animals and to trade them with her sister.

My daughter loves Hatchimals. I do find them a little bit expensive, but nowadays what isn’t? They’re small, so, parents have to be very careful with their kids and these toys, but beside that, they are fun to play with.

Kids had a lot of fun opening these on Christmas morning. We’ve purchased several of these at this point and always manage to get a decent amount of variety with very little duplicates.

I got these on clearance but they will last until next Easter. Kids like these eggs because there's a surprise in every one. Some are rare or super rare which makes them fun to collect.

While I don't exactly get the appeal of these things, I can't say the kids don't love them. they just go absolutely bonkers for them, and this 12 pack makes it easier and cheaper.
