I had never seen this, only heard great things about it. Excited to sit down and watch it, only to be majorly disappointed by the end. The acting wasn't great but I wasn't expecting Oscar caliber performances, the gore effects were impressive, especially for the time period. I found no likable characters but my issue was with how little Pinhead and the other Cenobites were in the movie. Maybe 3 scenes totaling 5 minutes ? No desire to watch any sequels.

A cult classic by name alone. While it may not be everyone’s cup of tea there’s no arguing about Hellraiser’s place among the horror genre.

I really enjoyed watching the Original Hellraiser. The story and plot still hold my interest after so many years.

As a child of the 80's, I grew up with this franchise. It was always right up there (if not better) with the Freddy and Jason franchises. Glad it's finally on BR.

sometimes, they don;t do a remake, because no one cares, Sister Act 3! sometimes, they don't have to because they can't- the first one was too perfect. see this movie...

I'm a fan of PinHead and his minions so yes I like this movie. It's cool story with lots of suspense and horror.

You can't beat the original film that started the franchise

This horror film is not for everyone. I personally did think it was original in plot. It has a few scenes in where I think creep you out. I think it deserves to be seen by all horror fans. Once again it is not for everyones viewing. Do pick up the blurry version over the standard dvd.
