It's a nice little scooter for short commutes and light shopping. Things to think about: Pros: Comfortable Easy to ride Front and rear drum brakes work well in wet weather Front light is very bright Well constructed Sturdy built-in basket The larger than avaerage tires work well in poor weather Cons: Heavy Under-powered (411-watt motor (according to HiBoy's website) rather than the 500-watt advertised), so it struggles with steep hills Has a non-standard connector for the charging port, so if you have to replace the charger for any reason, you will also need to replace the socket. HiBoy doesn't even offer the charger on their site. Customer Service is by email only. The phone number on their site only goes to voicemail that isn't set up. Overall, it's a good machine for the price. Riding it reminds me of the old Tote-gotes of my childhood as it handles about the same, but more comfortably. Realistically, I'd place the range at around 10-15 miles, but then, I live in a hilly area. My biggest complaint is the unavailability of replacement chargers. My son lost the charger on his way to work a couple of weeks ago, (he forgot to zip the pocket on his backpack), and we've yet to find a compatible replacement -- even in the third-party market -- due to the weird connector. Losing one is unusual, but chargers do die from time to time. It sucks to have to retire a $400 scooter because you can't charge it. I'm researching other chargers and retrofitting a different connector -- not something one should have to do with a month-old scooter. Last-minute addition: I just heard from HiBoy Customer Service, and they said that they were going to send a replacement. Granted, a charger only costs them a couple of bucks, but still, this is a nice gesture on their part.

Bought this for both my 11-year-old daughter and myself, and we absolutely love it! The scooter has 3 different speed modes, which is perfect because she can safely ride in the lower mode around 10–13 mph, while I can switch it to the fastest setting. I weigh around 190 lbs and was able to clock over 25 mph with no problem. The larger tires make the ride extremely smooth and comfortable, and the wide seat adds a lot of comfort and stability. It feels very safe and well-built while riding. If you’re worried about assembly, don’t be. The instructions are very straightforward and it comes mostly assembled already. All we had to do was attach the handlebars and tires — super easy. I honestly couldn’t be more impressed with the build quality of the Hiboy U3. Huge praise to Hiboy for making such a fun and reliable scooter. My daughter absolutely loves it, and it definitely earned me some “best dad” points! Also, shoutout to Best Buy for the fast and easy pickup process. My order was ready almost instantly and brought right out to me. For $369.99 — especially being hundreds off the normal price — this scooter is an amazing deal. Highly recommend!

Easy assembly, sturdy, works as it should. Just as described in the sight. Three modes for speed is a nice feature as well. Primary use is at the different drags strip it’s portable Portable size makes it easy to transport, it’s great to get around the drag strip and having the seat you don’t even have to go up in the stands.

I’m honestly impressed with this product. From the moment I started using it, I could tell it was well-designed and made with quality in mind. It feels sturdy, easy to use, and does exactly what it promises without complications. One of the things I love most is how convenient it is for everyday use. It saves time and makes my routine much easier. I also appreciate the small details in the design—they clearly thought about the user experience. Performance-wise, it exceeded my expectations. It works smoothly, consistently, and I haven’t had any issues so far. Compared to similar products I’ve tried before, this one stands out for its reliability and overall value. If I had to mention anything, I’d say there’s always room for minor improvements, but honestly, it already does a great job as it is. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for something practical, efficient, and worth the price. I would definitely purchase it again.

I drive my hiboy scooter basically m-f 2-4 times a day for about a month or so and I can complain it gets me to work in 15 min or less I don’t use the road a lot I usually ride on the sidewalks because I don’t wanna back up traffic unless there is a bike lane for me but I usually just drive through neighborhoods this is a way better commute to work I don’t have to worry about gas only charge it basically when I get home from work so the battery will last all day until I get home. Usually I am on one battery when I pull up to the house if I leave work on my lunch if I had to complain about one this is the initial setup of the product the video they have on YouTube the guy isn’t really descriptive but I feel like they gave him a time limit on the video outside of that make sure everything is tighten up and enjoy the ride TIP: IF you have a huge speaker you can tie it the basket on the back and have music so you have to have headphones in while you ride I tied mines down with the bungee cord that came with the scooter and I also have a bike lock that I have wrapped around the speaker and basket to keep it from falling out. ENJOYYY :)

Love this scooter! Holds a good charge for more than advertised and constantly goes 20MPH when setting is on speed. The headlight at night is super bright and I feel comfortable driving around the neighborhood at night.

The Hiboy U3 scooters have been great. I bought one, waited a few weeks to make sure it was good, then got another. We live in a hilly area and they do well with full size adults. Not going top speed up hills but fast enough. Enough range for us to get around town...maybe 10-15 miles of actual range but you don't really want to ride one of these things further anyway. Overall very stable, easy to move around, comfortable to ride, more than fast/powerful enough. Not the best assembly instructions but it is easy enough with some common sense. Customer service from Hiboy has been responsive anytime I reached out.

Can take scooter off-road onto bike trails. Handles it no problem. I have a disability and I find it very easy to use the scooter without any pain issues afterwards. Compactable and easy to travel with. Would give this 10 stars if I could. Very glad I’ve made this purchase.

I just received the U3 scooter and bought it for my son to commute between home and school. The small rear basket is perfect for holding his backpack, and the product even comes with two straps to secure it easily. There are three speed modes, which makes it simple for him to control the top speed safely. It also has a cruise mode, which is better than other scooters we’ve tried — after holding the throttle for a few seconds, you can release it and it keeps going smoothly. Overall, it’s a great scooter for teenagers to ride. Just remember to always wear a helmet!

Been riding this for a couple weeks now, mostly to work and the store. It’s honestly better than I thought for the price. The seat’s comfy, and the basket actually fits a good amount. I can throw in groceries or my backpack no problem. The ride’s smooth on pavement, and the suspension helps when the road isn’t perfect. It goes fast enough for city riding without feeling sketchy. The lights are bright too, which helps when I come home late. Charging is simple, and the battery’s been lasting fine for my usual trips. No weird issues so far. If you just need something easy to hop on and go, this one works great.

I bought this scooter for transportation and to do deliveries on it, thought the 25 miles to the battery life was true however it’s more like 7 miles to the battery. And the instruction booklet for building it is not great. Plus, I couldn’t find a video online!

Got this to make my commute a bit easier, but I ended up liking it way more than I thought I would. The seat makes a huge difference. Standing scooters always made my legs tired, but this feels chill and steady. It rides nicely on sidewalks and bumpy spots and doesn’t feel cheap or shaky. Build quality feels solid. It also folds up easily, so I just keep it in my car during the week. Super convenient. And the lights underneath are honestly pretty cool at night. Makes me feel more noticeable when it’s dark. Overall, it’s made getting around way easier and a lot more enjoyable.

The Hiboy U3 electric scooter is just what I needed. I use it everyday to commute to and from work, Go to the grocery store. The basket can fit a decent amount of goods in side, I use the straps for extra security. I get lots of compliments. It can go up to 20mph and a distance of 25 miles on a full charge. The only con is it only goes up to 25 miles, it would be nice if the U3 could go further. I added a phone and drink holder to it. There is plenty of handle bar room for accessories.
