The Hisense 2.1 sound bar is just good enough in my opinion. I really do like the sleek styling and texture of it. It’s size makes it a lot easier to manage than most other sound bars in this price range (I am fitting this into an older tv cabinet). But that size is what leads to what makes its performance alright rather than great. It’s subwoofer is nonexistent, so this is more realistically a 2.0 sound bar. I had to have the bass turned all the way up to make anything not sound tinny. However, dialogue is extremely crisp. There are very little mids; the treble is very high. Definitely do not use the surround sound feature as everything sound will sound hallow. It makes for a nice bedroom sound bar especially since the volume can go extremely low for late night watching/ambience. It could also work well as a desk speaker for a computer/gaming setup. Hisense gets the job done with this sound bar but I’ve had broader and better overall sound from cheaper ones. If you are fine with a good replacement for your tv speakers this one is good, but just don’t expect a lot. If it was cheaper it’d get another star.

I went a different route and bought this soundbar to use as computer speakers. Let me tell you huge upgrade over my Bose companion 2 speakers. Just bought it on sale for $90 which is less than the Bose companion 2 speakers. Getting rid of the bookshelf speaker for this was also an aesthetics upgrade for my setup. The sound and bass are just right. I would highly recommend for this type of setup as the dialogue an dbass levels are just right for something you would be using in a smaller setup and the price right now is perfect as this was one of the only soundbars I could find at this price point that is 2,1 with a built in subwoofer. Also the size is compact.

This soundbar sounds amazing! At 50% it sounds like you’re in a movie theater. At that level, you could get complaints from your neighbors at night. I would recommend keeping it around 30% volume. The sound can be increased in increments of 5. The standard settings out of the box were perfect for me and I didn’t do any additional adjustments. My only complaint is that I have to keep it a little bit behind my tv. My Fire Tv has a part on the front that sits lower and causes the soundbar to not fit under it. The low hanging part is where the IR is located. Putting the soundbar in front blocks the IR. Putting it under, you have to prop up the Tv slightly. The weight of the Tv could cause damage to both. Putting the soundbar underneath from behind and pushing it forward until it hits the low hanging part was my best solution on my table. If you mount both, you won’t have any issues. Overall I love my soundbar and would recommend it to anyone.

Purchased this to pair with a television on the patio in the backyard. Tried it in the TV sitting area in our huge bedroom and it sounded pretty dang good for such an inexpensive sound bar. Attempted to use it outside and it just did not work. You had to be less than five away from it to hear it when it was positioned against the wall beneath the TV. Ended up putting back in the bedroom where it will remain and the shopping will continue for the backyard. I hoped with the built in subwoofer it would be ok outside but it is not. Ultimately, this is a fantastic unit for the price, however, it is not suited for larger areas by any means and is great in average to smaller areas with walls so the sound is contained. One review I read stated the LED in the middle was obnoxious. This unit’s LED color is dependent on the audio output selected and has a dimmer control that will turn the LED off as well if you choose.

This small soundbar has a builtin powerful subwoofer and it does pack a punch. Its enough to fill a room and complements a 43 to 55 inch tv without looking too small. HDMI arc compatibility means easy setup and very simple use. It caps out at 108w of combined power which might be not enough if the room is bigger than mine.

It has a built in Woofer and it works really well. As a standalone soundbar it is great using Bluetooth and when I am not watching TV I am likely to be listenng to my Album Collection via Bluetooth. It took a short while to get the sound balance just how I wanted it as it was different on TV and Bluetooth. Overall very pleased and the price was great.

Awesome sound quality. For 85 bucks, I think you can barely get as good a product as this anywhere. The sound clarity is very good, picks up the notes/frequencies, most of the soundbars/speakers cannot (for under 100$). And the sound quality is real good, no distortion or noise. Really amazing soundbar.

Bare bones sound bar, better sound than tv but that’s about it. Volume goes up in increments of 5 when used with ARC. Not terrible but not great quality.

I bought this Hisense Soundbar, because I keep the volume low in my bedroom at night, and I was having problems hearing some of the dialogue in TV and movies. This Soundbar really delivers. The voices are much easier to hear and understand, without having to turn up the TV volume. The Soundbar comes with an HDMI cable, an optical cable, and a wall mounting kit. It is also Bluetooth compatible so you can stream music through any Bluetooth enabled device. That’s quite a package for the money! What I don’t like about this Soundbar is the subwoofer component. I have a Soundbar with a stand-alone subwoofer on my living room TV, and I love the rumble effect it delivers for epics, or action movies. This Hisense Soundbar doesn’t come close to delivering that same rumble effect. In fact, until I re-read the description, I didn’t know this Soundbar even had a subwoofer. That said, it’s still a good Soundbar that delivers dialogue and music in quality fashion. I watched a Blu-ray Chicago/Earth Wind and Fire concert, and the sound was fantastic. I bought this Hisense Soundbar, purely based on it’s price point. For the money, you won’t find a better Soundbar package out there. For what I needed it for, it delivered. In fact, I liked it so much, I bought another one for the TV in my den. Although, I’m underwhelmed by the subwoofer, I like still like this Hisense Soundbar a lot. PROS: Great for picking up dialogue Comes with optical and HDMI cables Bluetooth compatibility Compact size Great price point! CONS: Subwoofer isn’t bad, it’s just not great

After finally figuring out how to get this sound bar hooked up, and having to purchase a few extra cords, I am proud to say I figured it out and it has really changed the sound quality in my living room. I can finally hear the TV. #hisense seems to have made a great product with a quality sound. The sub Woofer could use a cover of some sort and is located on the bottom which I thought was an odd design choice. As an #insider I give this 4 out of 5 stars. Absolutely can't beat the price, and the roku compatibility is a HUGE bonus!

Eureka! Got it all hooked up with optical to my Toshiba 50C350 TV and all was well except for no volume control through the Toshiba or Comcast Xfinity (XR11 or XR15) remotes. The sound emanating from it is a huge improvement over the rattly/hollow bass put out by the built-in TV speakers (can't really complain since the cost of the TV was so low). Xfinity support could not provide a remote code for it and suggested I return it for a different soundbar on their list. I solved this issue by plugging the HDMI ARC connection on the HS214 into port 1 on the TV and HDMI port 2 on the TV into my Xfinity box. Then, both the Toshiba TV and Xfinity XR15 remotes were able to control the volume on the HS214 sound bar. Note: the older XR11 remote (which we like better) remains unable to control the volume :(

Turned out better sound than I thought. A bit more complicated to figure out best features for low and extreme high hearing loss. Music and ads always too loud. Don’t see way of system looking to mute that automatically

It isn't the best soundbar or speaker configuration, but for the price (on sale, I got it for about $80) it's very good. Certainly, it's a worthwhile investment to upgrade from the basic TV speakers.

I am so very happy with this purchase. It connected to my TV using an HDMI cable, so I don't even need to use the included remote. It's a bit small, which is what I needed. The price was great and the sound is clear.

I’ve had this for a few days. Good sound, hooked up fairly easy, definitely an upgrade. Biggest problem is my power cord. It has a very weak connection. I had to work the cord to get the kinks out from being packaged just to get it to stay connected into soundbar AC connection, very loose and when I turned volume and bass up it came disconnected which is annoying. I am ordering another power cord hoping that it will fit more tightly or this is going back.

Nice streamline speaker. Nice and crisp sound. Very easy to set up and use.

The Soundbar is ok but they don’t tell you about the auto off feature which is very annoying because you can’t disable it. The remote is a hit or miss pens on how close you are to Soundbar
