As described, darker darks and brighter colors alright, Hisense is not kidding. This TV is super bright, recommended for very bright rooms. It may bother your eyes at night even after the brightness is set to 0, under that the blacks get deeper which gives the picture a bad combination or blacks and brights. More than a month later and my eyes are starting to get used to it, but not there yet. The amount of setting to adjust the Display/Picture is overkill, so many options that it makes it difficult to find a good set up. I spent many hrs on different days trying to find something of my liking, never seen so many picture settings in my life. There is still some glare even though it supposed to be glare free, but definitely way better than those annoying mirror screens found in most tv's.

The Hisense 55" U6 Pro MiniLED QLED 4K is a a tv that fits the mid range of televisions. Its features 144Hz panel and has a motion scaling of 480 which is really good for video games and soccer and football. The Operating system is FireTV OS and has Alexa built in and comes with AMD Freesync Premium support for VRR gaming up to 144Hz. This worked really well with the Nintendo Switch 2, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X. Testing: I used it in a Bright room and a Dark Room, The tv measured almost 1000nits of brightness. The panel has around 600 local dimming areas. Testing this on Letterbox movies and UHD Discs it showed dark blacks with no gray or major white popping through. Excellent color reproduction and really vivid colors in scenes like Planet Earth Jungles and oceans. Using Video games I was able to test the PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch 2. I tested COD, BF6 and 007 First light and Zelda. The fast paced action on all consoles for COD and BF6 was impeccable. I had no blurring or streaking. The image was crystal clear and vivid nonstop. Both Consoles utilized all features of the TV and gave a great experience. I wanted to mention that Zeldas color experience was amazing, the colors were so rich and inky looking. I tested Cable and Youtube TV and other streaming apps. Everything was fast and fluid, the OS quickly loaded and downloaded apps as i wanted. It connected to my internet and never lost connection. Everything was sharps and clear. Final takeaway- This TV Punches way above its weight class. It loads the features with HDR10+ Dolby Vision IQ actual 144Hz and around 1000 nits of Peak Brightness. This TV excelled and offered so much and delivered on each of its offerings. This was an amazing product to review and is my main gaming tv!

The U6 Pro MiniLED is a sleek fairly light TV. the bezel is quite thing for those that appreciate minimalist borders. the TV itself is fairly thin with most ports needed coming out the side as opposed to the back, so depending on how your setup is you can get it pretty flat to the wall. can be annoying when a tv has a lot of ports going outward preventing you from getting closer to the wall The TV is built with Amazon Fire TV. Setup is pretty straight forward, you can sign into your amazon account and connect your other streaming apps pretty easily. Functionally, the interface works well, apps are snappy and open up nicely. Aesthetically, I've never been a fan of Fire TV compared to Roku. I find the UI too cluttered with ads. For those that don't mind the layout though that's not a problem and not the important part. The controller is sleek and clean and one thing i do appreciate is the 4 shortcut buttons at the bottom are for (imo) the top 4 streaming services. Lot of times you get a smart remote, you may get a couple useful buttons like Netflix or amazon but then you'll have some buttons for more obscure streaming services. while it'd be nice to customize those buttons, having the big 4 is a nice change of pace. i can skip the menus all together and just press app button i want. this is my first time experiencing miniLED and what a difference it made. the image was very bright and crisp and movies and gaming looked excellent. I know the big advantage is no screen burn, but that could take a really long time to test. Kids were really impressed with how it looked, especially watching movies in the dark and gaming in the dark. picture was really vibrant. Audio could be a little better, but its fine for the average user. Its not that big a deal as most tv's built in speakers don't have the greatest sound. I tend to use sound bars and subwoofer combos so its not something that will affect me overall, a great value tv to showcase new cutting edge tv tech and give a well rounded experience, but would have been nice with a different UI

The Hisense 55” U6 Pro miniLED is a good TV that provide great clarity and brightness. The Hisense U6 Pro is an Amazon Fire TV which means it has the Amazon OS built into it. The TV comes with the Amazon voice remote, with customizable pre-programed buttons. Setting up the TV is very easy, basically plug it in and then sign in to all your streaming apps. The picture clarity on the U6 Pro is fantastic. The colors look very vibrant, bright and they’re full of detail. The anti-reflective screen is a matte screen that does a good job at eliminating glare. I placed my TV in a brighter room, to see how well it worked with glare, and I was able to see it clearly with hardly any glare. The brightness is another thing that the U6 pro does a good job with this TV gets really bright, and I really love how well the auto dimming works. Most TV’s I’ve used, I immediately turn off this feature as it totally ruins the picture quality, but with the U6 pro, it seemed to hand the auto dimming perfectly. The motion quality on the U6 Pro is fantastic. The TV has many different video presets to choose from. For example; movie, game, web etc. each one adding its own custom setting. I found that the standard works well for watching YouTube content, the Web video setting also looks good too. The TV does a great job at motion clarity no matter what setting I chose. There was no “soap opera” look, motion was very fluid and smooth. I hooked up my PS5 to test out how well the TV handles gaming, and it didn’t disappoint. Despite the TV being native 144hz, the PS5 can only handle a max of 120hz native. The TV automatically switched to Game mode, and I was able to choose to use native 120hz. Gaming looks pretty good on this TV; it handles motion and framerate very well. When using HDR, I noticed that the colors had to be tweaked quite a bit, in order to see in dark areas. Sound quality is what you would expect from a flat screen TV, nothing special. Even though the U6 pro has a built-in subwoofer, it still falls short of great sound. Overall, the H6 Pro is a quality TV at a great price. It has a great picture quality, bright colors and excellent motion quality. I didn’t experience any lag with the OS, as it ran super smoothly. The H6 pro is a solid TV and I would recommend it.

The series is amazing. It’s a great picture quality. We use it outside or outside kitchen which is under a roof, but it has the non-glare and it works very well. I would highly recommend this TV or rooms that have a lot of light exposure

I really like this television. At 55”, it’s the perfect size for a bedroom wall. The picture is nice and bright. After a proper adjustment, I’m super happy with it.

Overall – This is what I come to expect from Hisense, a really strong performing product that competes with the “premium brands”. The U6 Pro Mini LED is no different. A lot of strong points and only a few distractors. That’s why I gave it 4 stars and would probably go higher, but not a full 5 stars. Packaging – It’s well protected in the original packaging box, and the accessories are accessible when you open the box. Since this is a 55, it was pretty much pulled out from the top and was just big enough that you needed two people. Being able to lay the box flat would allow you to do it solo if you need to. Assembly - Quick and straightforward. The two legs are key and can only go in one way. Once they are on the TV feels stable setting on the stand. I will say that being able to let the bottom of the TV hang over is key to installing the legs. Setup & Functionality - Setup was pretty easy if you already have a Fire TV account. If not it you can tie it to your Amazon account pretty quickly. As I come to expect, it had a Fire TV OS update that took a few minutes to complete.is simple. Word of warning, if you don't use the top of the Fire TV, it takes a bit to get all of the apps downloaded and installed. Once everything was set up, it powered up and is ready to watch anything surprisingly fast. Here are the positives and a few negatives: Positives • The colors are crisp and vibrant • Much improved brightness over non-mini LED models • No ghosting or shutter even in high-action sports • The HDR and Dolby work well, although they both seem to darken the picture to me, making it a bit dim in a bright-lit room. • No issues with the HBMI arc that I've had with others in this market • I really like the Alexa voice control and found it very useful. • WiFi 6 made streaming fast and easy – I didn’t have a single buffering issue. Negatives • I did have an issue with one of the Fire OS features for background, but nothing that was a showstopper. • While the sound is Ok – main voices were crisp and clear, but backgrounds seemed to be a bit muddy- go ahead and invest in even an inexpensive soundbar • HDMI connections – 4 2.1s would have been nice and open it up for more end use Bottomline – The U6 Pro delivers great picture quality, strong brightness even in the most challenging rooms, and vibrant color. The Fire TV works well, and if you're in the Amazon ecosystem, an absolute plus, if not still a strong OS, but it’s probably going to be more Prime forward than you’d like. The only real downside is the HDM input spec and the overall sound quality without a sound bar. All that said, I can say that this is a really nice TV and I recommend it for most use other than a heavy entertainment room with the need for multiple HDMI inputs.

Modern TVs are insane, its the one thing in our lives that somehow seem to get better and still get cheaper, this set offers great performance at a very tolerable investment cost. It offers a native 144hz refresh rate for smooth motion and also supports variable refresh rate (VRR) for great gaming performance, ideal for all current gen consoles or even if you are using certain handhelds. There are two HDMI 2.1 ports that will run 144hz, one HDMI that supports eARC, and four HDMI ports total. Picture quality is very good with the miniLED backlight array with 240 dimming zones which works well on this size display. Offers great HDR performance with support for HDR10+ as well as Dolby Vision. It also has a pretty phenomenal anti-glare coating, honestly the best I've had on any TV so it works fantastic in bright rooms between the anti glare and brightness capabilities. The sound on this TV is surprisingly good, offering 40 watts of total power and a built in subwoofer. It supports Dolby Atmos output but ultimately doesn't have enough speakers built in to really notice. If you wallmount this in a relatively small room you might find its more than acceptable, although I still greatly prefer using my JBL soundbar. Still much improved over the tiny 2w- 4w speakers that were standard for so long on flat screens. Has built in FireTV if that's your preferred service, or there is another model that comes with Google TV. Ultimately its hard to argue with the value proposition this TV offers, I would definitely recommend it if this is the price range you are looking in.

Modern tvs really are a marvel. Almost no bezel to speak of, they can be hung extremely close to the wall, lots of inputs and connections, and the built in features, above and beyond the smart device, and wild. This TV has a sneaky good set of performance modes and features that are aimed directly at gamers and gaming, and it showed in my time using it so far. AMD Freesync, variable refresh rates, and a max of 144hz. These are performance gaming monitor specs, not your last television. Well now we get to have both. This TV probably runs the Smart Fire platform on hardware that is just a hair too slow for me, but it's not painfully obvious. Consider long and hard which ecosystem you want to be in, or find the best deal and plug in your own streaming device. Fire TV is already a known and the setup on this tv was easy as you'd expect. The picture clarity, quality, and almost no artifacting to speak of are outrageous at the price point of this tv. Auto dimming in the past has always been handled by some clunky algorithm that would have the tv stuck in between modes and flickering, and would lead to me turning it off. Shockingly the feature finally works here. I can't say enough about the built in gaming modes. Overall well made and Hisense continues to prove their position in the market of quality affordable tvs. I would recommend this to todays TV buyer.

I have been spending time with the Hisense U6 Pro MiniLED tv. I will preface this review with I have a OLED as my main TV so I will be making most of my comparisons to this TV. Out of the box its is pretty thin not Razer thin but not bulky. You definitely notice the port for the built in subwoofer on the back of the TV (more on that later). the stand is put together with a few screws and you off the races. The tv was packaged very well between the screen plastic wrap and corner protective material. Took a second to take off. I placed this TV in my bedroom which has a large sliding glass door with blinds. I will say the anti reflective qualities are actually really good preventing glare while in the room. Turning on this TV you see where this TV shines. Literally. I watched a darker movie it looked good but not inky blacks but it does well without blooming. Where it’s strong is brighter movies and shows. This thing is bright. And if you put it on vivid you better squint. What’s great about this TV too is it is able to recognize what you are watching so it can adjust to what setting it should be. When watching 4K HDR context it will go into filmmaker mode which makes that context how the director intended. I tried switching to vivid. It was gross with the refresh rate and colors. So filmmaker mode really does work. The UI is fast and intuitive makes for ease of use. The sound on this TV is actually very decent. Normally I would think the subwoofer is a gimmick but you can actually hear the depth of sound. It’s not a rumble but on lower tones it is audible. This TV is a great all a-rounder. Not super dark but it gets there and it will be a great cinema piece.

Hisense has been pioneering in TV sector for a number of years now, pushing aggressively into premium display technologies while keeping prices pretty affordable. This 55" MiniLED QLED is a pretty impressive set, I would say. I was pretty impressed when it was first delivered to my house, it came in a wooden crate on a pallet. Usually only high end big screen TVs get this kind of treatment, however Hisense wanted to make sure this TV made it all in one piece to my house and thanks to the amazing packaging, the box made it safely to my living room. It is easy to set up, the TV itself is not heavy at all, so one person can get the feet installed and set it up on a stand. The TV runs Fire TV as its platform, so it was pretty easy to set up. I found the menus and navigation to be pretty smooth. Just make sure to update it to the latest firmware to get the latest updates. This TV is powered by Hisense’s Hi‑View AI Engine Pro and it pretty much manages motion, local dimming, and color processing using machine learning. So for example, during fast action or certain sports this processor enhances clarity, improves contrast control. I believe that thanks to its native 144Hz refresh rate, its performance keeps movement fast and sharp, reducing blur during gameplay and live sports. I did not see any edgy or choppy images when watching YouTube videos or streaming via Netflix or Prime. After doing some research on this budget friendly model, I learned that this 2026 model (U6 Pro) uses a denser Mini‑LED array than previous U6 generations, giving you: much better contrast, more precise local dimming, brighter highlights and definitely less blooming around bright objects (which could be annoying if you know what I am talking about!) Sound coming out of this TV was pretty decent and believe it or not this TV has a built-in subwoofer! However I always pair my TVs with a soundbar so my audio experience was a pleasant one either way. This TV is definitely a keeper and is quite impressive, if you want a a bright, colorful MiniLED TV under $600. I'd say it is a reliable everyday TV for movies, sports, and streaming and you won't be disappointed.

Some TVs look great the moment you get them out of the box. Others require some tweaks to bring out their full potential. This is definitely one of the latter. My initial impressions after getting the TV set up was that that something wasn't right. Colors seemed a little drab, images seemed a little too dark, and everything just looked off in ways that I couldn't quite put my finger on. And I mention this not to scare you off, but rather assure you that first impressions can be deceiving. After spending a couple days experimenting with the different settings and playing a lot of different content on it I've come to recognize this is actually a very impressive LCD paired with some less than impressive default settings. First up, let's talk color. the screen has both quantum dot tech and according to a badge on the Hisense website Pantone validation. This is a big part of what initially threw me off I think as I'm used to QD displays pumping up color saturation to show off how vibrant they can be. This does not do that - at least not unless you switch to one of the vivid color modes. It might be slightly heretical to admit that's exactly what I did (I've gotten used to it, it's hard to go back) but I do really appreciate having the option for when I'm watching something where having a more "accurate" look is preferred. What really impressed me though is how well the local dimming works. There are still a lot of screens which struggle with visible checkerboard patterns even in relatively bright scenes, but even with the local dimming turned up all the way I still struggled to see it outside of torture tests. We're still a long way from being able to make LCDs look as good as OLEDs, but I'm definitely fine with what they can do for now. And, in one of the most pleasant surprises I've had recently, it can game. With native support for variable refresh rate and a 144hz panel, it pairs exceptionally well with my gaming PC and consoles. You do lose a little bit of the "wow" factor, since game mode cuts down on latency by removing most of the post-processing, but the improved smoothness is a huge upgrade from the TV it replaced which could only really manage 60hz. Unfortunately I did find myself less impressed by most of the "AI" features the TV shipped with, most of which look like the same upscaling, color grading, and motion smoothing we've seen for ages with just a few new tweaks. And I don't think on a whole these tweaks actually represent improvements. IMO it really undersells how well this panel can actually perform - particularly when it comes to displaying fast motion - and I can't say I've missed any of them since turning them off. Moving on, there are also plenty of secondary items to talk about. First one: they built a subwoofer into the back to try and make the TV speakers actually sound decent. Does it work? Sorta. It is a night and day difference when compared to TVs that don't have any bass response at all. But it also can't really do anything to address the problem that LCD panels really don't have enough room to include speakers that can address the rest of the range. Voices and music remain tinny, and the virtualized speakers are no replacement for an actual sound bar. But, since no one I know ever uses TV speakers anyway, I don't think that's reason enough to mark it down. The Fire TV software will also likely be a mixed bag for some. It does offer one of the simplest and most reliable setup experiences, which is very nice, but I do find the interface to be a bit busy and I do not like how it hides some of the more advanced settings behind multiple menu systems. But, with a little guidance, it's not too hard to track down what you're looking for and it does a pretty good job of remembering my more important preferences rather than making me re-enter them every time the input format changes, so I can definitely live with it. And if you can't, I'm pleased to say that it plays very nicely with a variety of alternative set-top boxes, even if you're passing audio through to a finnicky soundbar. In summary, I probably wouldn't recommend this to everyone. The hardware is definitely capable, but given the amount of tinkering I had to do and the complexity of the UI I can easily see this being a nightmare for my less-tech savvy parents who really just want something they never need to mess with. But if you're okay reading a manual or two and spending a couple hours experimenting, I think this represents a really good bargain and a great upgrade to your home viewing experience.

First off I must say the shipping and protection of the Hisense unit was impressive to say the least. I found this display to be more padded and protected than other displays I have received in shipment before. Installation was as expected for a display like this and simple. Typical VESA mount so not difficult in the least. Startup and setup was very easy and was even able to allow me to login and port over all of my previous settings and apps from my older display as well. Now when it comes to the colors and brilliance of this display Hisense surprisingly knocked it out of the park, the blacks are deep and colors vibrant. No halo'ing that I could detect. This has to be due to their MiniLED ULED technology they have into this display. The sound is as would be expected for a on-board display. It works well you can hear but do not expect the deepest of basses on the sound front. Overall this is an extremely beautiful reliable display with the on board apps you'd expect from a smart TV, plenty of on board connectivity for external devices, and a display that allows the viewer to become immersed into the moment on screen.
