I missed out on the 65" S90C for $999. So I chose between this 75" U7 and the TCL QM-7. I've owned an entry-level Samsung 4K TV and a ROKU stick for the last 8 years. The brightness and vibrant colors, all within the darkest of scenes, are the first things that I noticed. No issues using the Google TV; it's very similar to using Roku. This TV is the brightest that I've ever viewed. I did consider the U8 being the flagship model. I ultimately choose the biggest budget model that I could afford. I enjoy watching sports and movies mainly. I feel that this is a premium enough TV for me. TV speakers were ok for the 10 seconds that I used them. I use a surround sound bar system.

I was conflicted for over a week about purchasing the 75 inch version because the critical review sites were testing the 65 inch version. The 55, 75 and 85 inch versions have a different panel type than this one and the reviews were saying this panel type was not as good, but did have better off-axis viewing. My first mini-led i got 2 years sgo, the high end TCL 65 inch with Roku system. It's been my goto TV since I got it. I was thinking about replacing my 2020 Vizio M-series 65 inch in my living room. I watched it for almost a week straight and enjoyed it still (I just watch recorded sports and Netflix/Prime video movies). I didn't want another 65 inch TV because I'm 14 feet away from it so I continued my search. I finally found a YouTube review of this 75 inch TV by a couple who had just reviewed a Sony 75 inch 7 series. Their final thoughts were that this one was just as good as the Sony and hundreds less in price (even more than that at BestBuy). They were right, i couldn't be happier (unless I was looking at a OLED for the same price). I turned "Content Type Auto Detection" and "Intelligent Scene" on in the display settings and let the TV brains do its thing. I tried "Auto Picture Mode" but when I manually changed the mode when I didn't like the mode it selected the TV turned the setting off. I was thinking about the same series TCL 75 inch which I knew from my prior experience was good but the Hisense has the NextGen ATSC 3.0 tuner already built in! Some day I will get to use it for 4k broadcast, just not today in my area. I still love my TCL, my Vizio went to my bedroom for occasional use, but this Hisense has been in almost constant use since its arrival a week ago. The colors are well balanced and well saturated. The image is extremely clear and detailed (picture mode i use most on 1080p broadcast is Sports). Ive seen no judder, no artifacts, no glitches at all. HDR is also well balanced and sharp. Standard 4k video, mostly from YouTube videos, is absolutely brilliant. This is an awesome TV!

Very impressed by the software on the U7N. Great at upscaling non-4K media. TV is bright enough to hold off reflections from windows and even diminishes lights that are opposite the screen. The Google OS is snappy on the menu, but slightly sluggish on apps, so using an Apple TV 4K gets around that. Gaming is very nice, bright, and not laggy. Definitely recommend using a soundbar. Built in speakers are fine but not worth it. This was an upgrade from a 65” Vizio and the size does impress. I am also impressed by the lack of heat it gives off even with brightness and local dimming maxed out.
