A: Have you found anybody to answer your question? I just opened my product and the manual states the same it says do not use distilled water in this portable humidifier. I am also unsure why and would like to know why. Did you end up using tap or distilled?
A: No, it does not. However, The mist nozzle must be cleaned to remove water mineral deposits. Failure to do so may cause reduced or no mist output.
