A: When filling the tank, we recommend using clean, cool (not cold) water. I'm not able to find the statement you have mentioned in our instruction manual. However, we do say never add essential oils or any other additives to the water tank. Even a few drops will damage the product. The use of distilled water in this device, is perfectly acceptable.
