Hondo is a great movie if you like westerns. This is the very best of John Wayne. The color resolution and depth of images is amazing in this release. You would have thought it was filmed in 2019 and not 1953!!! Try it you won't be disappointed. Best Regards, 1Pip

i love john wayne movies so i loved this one too. ok.

An iconic view of the American western man. John Wayne demonstrates some of his best acting. The story shows that the rugged westerner, respects and cares for women and respects the native Americans. The character Hondo exemplifies manly traits in a positive and sensitive manner. He is honest, trustworthy, loyal but stands his ground when pushed. A truly great Western.

Hondo is a typical John Wayne western. Tons of action and bravado. The movies shows the tougher side of Wayne from his time with the Apaches to his job as a Calvary scout. As the movie progresses, however, one begins to see the family side of the Duke and his budding relationship with a woman whose husband was killed by Wayne. As usual, the great John Wayne wins over both mother and son. Great western.

John Wayne's portrayal in Hondo showed the grittiness and strong determination he must show to the Apaches as well as to others. But he shows kindness to the lady rancher and her son. Also a willingness to help them. Geraldine Page was good as well. This was a great Western action and drama film.

One of John Wayne's lesser known, but still outstanding classics that has withstood time. The BluRay edition has crisper video and audio. If you haven't seen this movie, try it. The swimming lesson alone is worth the price of purchase.

This is a older movie that we have not seen and was delighted when I was able to purchase it from BestBuy at a good price so my wife and I can watch it anytime we want.

One of the Dukes best movies that is great to watch. The quality is excellent and definitely a real value for a classic.

I've waited to finally get Hondo on widescreen. It was worth the wait. I've had it on DVD for a long time. BUT it wasn't widescreen.
