Q: Is there a built in condensate pump or does one rely on gravity for draining?
A: Hello ! Our portable air conditioners work on self evaporation and do not need to be drained, unless operating in extremely humid conditions. In order to drain the water tank when full, you will need to place a drain pan under the lower rubber drain plug, and manually drain the water tank.
