Q: What Honeywell sensor is compatible with the RTH9585 model thermostat
A: Hi Cardoe, thank you for your question. The RTH9585WF thermostat is not compatible with sensors. This smart room sensor will only work with the T9 and T10 thermostats. - Maria
Q: Will this work with a T6 pro Honeywell ?
A: Hi, the Honeywell Home - Smart Room Sensor only works with the T9 and T10 Smart Thermostats. If you have a T6 Pro Thermostat, the C7189U1005 Remote Indoor Temperature Sensor is the recommended option. For additional assistance, feel free to reach out to us at 1-800-633-3991, or through Twitter or Facebook under Honeywell Home. -Jerry
A: The system uses the average temperature across sensors to control heating and cooling. You can mount the sensor anywhere in range of the thermostat, but the system will consider that sensor as just another room. The thermostats control algorithm is designed for sensors to be located only in rooms or areas that are part of the heating/cooling system. If you don't want the outside temperature to affect the thermostat's calculation of average temperature, you'll need to prioritize the sensors that you do want to be included in the calculation.
Q: Is this compatible with model rth9585wf?
A: No. Just compatible with the T9 thermostat.
Q: Can this be used without a Honeywell thermostat? I just want to remotely monitor temperature.
A: No as they pair to your thermostat
A: Hi Joe, thank you for reaching out. You can do all of this with the T9 or T10 thermostat with smart room sensors. If you have further questions you can contact our tech support team at (800) 633-3991. - Maria
A: Hi Amanda, this smart room sensor is compatible with the T9 and T10 thermostats. When you adjust the temperature in one room, it will impact the temperature in the rest of your home. For example, if your basement is regularly 4 degrees cooler than your bedroom, it will continue to be slightly cooler as you adjust the temperature to meet your bedroom preferences. If the bedroom and the basement are both selected as priority rooms, the thermostat will average the temperature of those two rooms, and your basement will still be cooler than your bedroom. - Maria
A: Hi, model RTH8580WF1007 is not compatible with wireless sensors. -Joey
